So...why didn't the Elder Toad know about Asura?

Wouldn't that have just been a way greater prophecy to tell Naruto, this 'child of prophecy?' Forget your ambiguous ramblings and your encounter with a young man (that still doesn't make much sense really), you've got some serious explaining to do Toad.

And by the way yes, they did live in the same era- even if the 800 year old didn't get a vision of some amazing prophecy, he should've known about the SAGE OF SIX PATHS SON reincarnating himself a bunch of times up to modern day and then having the current reincarnation right in front of him.

Honestly this Asura/Indra twist just causes more trouble than it's worth, like Hashi and Madara- it was better off as a precautionary tale from eras ago, symbolising how the cycle of conflict is never-ending.

Why are you so sure that the Elder Toad lived at that time?

It never was stated that the Elder Toad had any knowledge of the Sage of 6 Paths. His dreams were the only way he knew what was going on. Other than that, he was clueless. (For all we know)

Elder Toad is over 800 years old.

"According to Hagoromo, Asura's chakra remained even after his body was destroyed, and it was reincarnated though various individuals throughout history which inherited his will, the most recent being Naruto Uzumaki centuries later."

Maybe because he's a senile old frog that's past his expiry date. And probably has Alzheimers and Parkinson's

He just re-iterates the visions he has, besides, he's super old and forgetful.

Not to mention that he's just one toad, he doesn't know everything.

Maybe Kishimoto didn't think that far ahead, or the toad could have just forgotten. He did have terrible memory.

He could have also just known about the prophecy and not what caused it.

Some old people can't remember they turned their blinker on 5 seconds after they did
