I think Madara still has the upper hand, when Obito was saying he's the boss Madara was smirking in the end, he could have something in his sleeves to force Obito to revive him, maybe Madara will use Kotoamatsukami on Obito.

Madara is allowing Obito to believe he's in control. He has a fallback option, possibly through Black Zetsu or Orochimaru. I'm in favor of the theory of Obito dying after being Tsukuyomi'd into using Rinne Tensei on Madara, allowing them to kill Madara at exactly the moment he resurrects (before he synchronizes with Juubi). I don't see Madara getting sealed, Naruto's sealing techniques are lame and the Alliance is fodder.

I'd probably say Madara as well due to his exploits and fights he managed to pull of / win throughout his lifespan.

Though, I'll admit, I would like to imagine a scenario where Obito had actually died by those rocks and not saved by his petty Kamui. Imagine if he died, the whole Series would be different. Madara would have no pawn at his disposal to tell what to do before he cut the courds to kill himself. None of this would be happening.. Just a food for thought!

actually you need to blame the senju, if there were not senju or hashirama, Madara would not have lived as long, there would be no zetsu, obito would have died even with kamui because no hashirama cells, and that would be that.

The only thing that can stop Edo Madara is plot jutsu. Or getting ganked by a lot of guys and getting resurrected at the wrong moment. Possibly Itachi's Susanno could seal him in the gourd? Doubtful Sasuke can land a hit or that Madara wouldn't be awarea of a relic like the Sword that took down Oro. He's either going to get resurrected and killed or PNJ.

The above was a test to see what Obito actually suspected. Madara is baiting him to see what happened while he was out. Clearly Madara is in information gathering mode. I suspect the character is/was meant to portray a calculating sociopath.

I always interpreted the smile as Madara's evil and sadistic nature. Maybe he just likes how cruel Obito has become and that they both want to 'cripple' the enemy. That's at least how I saw the smirk. Could be what you guys said though. Maybe it just means he has the upperhand, maybe he is just satisfied with how he turned Obito into a cruel person.

As much as it looks like Madara planned everything ahead, he never took Kabuto into consideration. Yes, Kabuto made a plan work that was destroyed by Obito himself. Stupid coincidence or? Obito would never have helped Madara and wanted to both take over his power and name.
