Seems a bit strange now wouldn't you say?
Maybe it's roots go all throughout the world? Lol
Kishi sure screwed up on that one.
Lol.
I wouldn't be so quick to say its a screw up. But it certainly needs a little explaining...
It's still technically "one with the earth" given that chakra spawns from it. And that is what the Juubi did. Because the Juubi was manifested from the Shinju because of the hatred of Kaguya and it wanting revenge for stealing chakra. What Kurama is talking about is what the Juubi was capable of. But the Juubi is simply a by-product of the Shinju.
Well it probably went into the first "stages" when it pretty much waged war on humanity. Judging by its silhouette from the famous RS panel it looks more like the first Juubi we've seen. Meh I think it could easily be explained if needed unless I'm not getting the idea of this thread.
Hmm, I don't know. It seemed like Kurama was directly talking about things the Juubi had done. While, of course, he could have meant, "this is what it is capable of" I think he was actually referring to "Nature" and what it does. Nature splits oceans, carries mountains, etc. I think the Tree is basically the personification of "Mother Nature" and as we've seen with countless civilizations...nature is worshipped.
the juubi is the form the god tree took when it attacked

It's been said that the fruit is not to be touched, but how would anyone know that? My guess is that through the millenniums, some have taken it before; unleashing the juubi upon the world. It may have been during these times it did such things.
