Well he did say in an interview that he didn't know how to defeat madara so he had to come up with some way. I'd say that he thought of that when he reached chapter 646 (or 647 I don't remember when she was mentionned the first time).

I didn't mean that as a bad thing necessarily though :)

Why couldn't Madara have been defeated by touching him with the Yin and Yang seals that he didn't know to avoid?

An arrogant guy who likes playing around and taking hits should've been beaten easy by Naruto/Sasuke chibaku combo.

I will wait till the movie comes out before I determine her importance.

That is a logical thing to say at this point, but cmon man...

The core content is now officially over, and the most important story that Kishi wanted, has been told.

Now it would just feel like he is patching up the plot-holes which he is himself aware off.

It will do the job to explain her of course, but it simply ruins the whole flow of things and lowers the impact of the specifics told.

Same thinking lol. Moreover, defeating Madara like that, would actually sound like a proper fight flow.

While with Kaguya being defeated by the same thing again, only paints her more retarded.

How could you... the God entity... the ultimate force of destruction and creation... fall to the same trick twice, by even weaker transmigrants.

But there are positive parts. Kakashi pulled out the most ass-pull, hax ability and strategy, and basically dealt the final, strongest injury to Kaguya, being the badass.

Kakashi> anyone's fave. :D

Her existence served two purposes

1. To get rid of Madara
Madara was the strongest being in history before BZ soloed him from behind. Finding a believable way to have Madara to be defeated would have taken Kishi too much time because the manga was ending, so he decided to use Kaguyaas a plot device.

2. To introduce the existence of space people, this mini series' main plot point is sure to center around the space people introduced by Kaguya's appearance. This was thought out before she showed up so assuming it is makes sense.

Yeah it makes sense to me now.

Though with your point #1 lol. It is still pretty amusing how he didn't know how to kill him, but decided to let the most fodder antagonist (at that point of time), solo the strongest antagonist ever (at that point of time)

For the movie and to make the moon's eye plan a bad thing instead of a grey area.

But the way Kaguya was defeat wasn't believeble at all. There were many plot holes regarding it.

Kaguya was a character that Kishi definetely wanted to include, it wasn't just someone that needed to be included just so Madara could be defeated. It might be partially correct but the thing is that this woman had byakugan a dojutsu whose importance was foreshadowed back in the chunin exams with Kakashi. So for Kishi at least, she was truly important.

Now as for the main thing being over, that might be true, but at the end of the day this is bussiness. Kishi at this point had 2 choices: either to tell everything about her in the manga or leave for the movie. If he had done the former, he would also risk because many people were already feeling that this war had dragged for too long, imagine if we were to witness the story of a completely new character. However, the second choice gives him more time to plan the plot for the movie and it will also be a huge success since it wll be the first naruto ever cannon movie. There are people who don't watch movies just because "they're not cannon" but what if they are? I think that the success of the movie can be increased many times.

In any case, I liked Kaguya up to a point, she was something fresh, she wasn't talknojutsued and there wasn't much dialogue as many were whining in the past. So, I believe that it's good to have this opinion now if the following movie does indeed give us important details about her.

Basically agree with everything now, except for Byakugan lol. Ironically she didn't use it for shit ( or at least manga did not present that at all), and she also got blind-sided by clumsy Sakura from the back when they were using Kakashi's final strat of surrounding her.

Though Kakashi strats are too op, he prolly even informed Sakura that Kaguya's Byakugan field of view is not entirely 360 and has a small blind spot :p Wow, I explained it to mysef lol.

Well, one having a vision of 360 degrees doesn't necessarily mean that it makes you capable of avoiding such hit or even counter, it just means that it won't catch by suprise. And Byakugan had been indeed foreshadowed since the battle between Neji and Hinata. People simply forget about it because it actually reappeared after a long time. It wouldn't be the first time that such indifference over a thing that was foreshadowed took place. For instance, many people had completely forgotten about Spiral Zetsu after his disappeance even it seemed extremely suspicious.
