So was Minato actually a perfect Jinchuuriki before he died?

I just need help understanding the whole Yin half of Kurama's chakra and how Minato was able to utilize it. So from what I understand, it seem that Minato is actually a Jinchuuriki (a perfect one at that). If I'm not mistaken became a Jin before he died, which didn't kill him right? What killed him was the sealing of the other half into Naruto (plus the giant fox claw sticking through him and Kushina).

What I don't really understand is that Minato was perfectly able to utilize the chakra mode without any training after being revived as an Edo. Hence why Naruto and Kurama was so surprised and amazed at Minato's feat, so I get the impression that Minato achieved this through his own skill and ability.

I mean if he was able to do this without any training or practice as soon as he got to the battle field (after only being brought back to life for an hour or 2) then you'd think he could have done this if he didn't die? So isn't Bijuu Minato technically a perfect Jin (or at least able to use KCM) not just an Edo Minato feat but alive Minato could have done the same. Because I see some people in threads and vs threads saying alive Minato can not do all these things while some argue otherwise; which I find hard to believe. So what are you guys opinions?

their is no official rule for how a person wants a verse thread to be, only the rules they set for them selfs. so if you want kcm minato alive in a verse thread you can as edo tensei didnt supply minato with kurama chakra, minato did that to himself and the fact is a verse thread between two characters who are dead or from different generations cant happen to begin with so saying minato didnt have that when he was alive, so it doesnt count. sounds more like an excuse then an actual ruling

But look at what Yin Kurama says to Minato. "He was even able to persuade my other half" - he's referring to Naruto. Yin Kurama says this as if Minato was not which makes me believe that this is their first interaction with each other.

That seems more like an assumption to me, you're just guessing what happened in the reapers belly. :erm: ok, if you show me the scan where Minato fought and defeated Yin Kurama then I'd believe you. But since I have a pretty good feeling that you're just guessing I won't take your word for it.
