We see Metal Lee chase after the masked individual (which in all likelihood is Sumire) but he loses her as he isn't able to walk on water.

Meanwhile Mitsuki proceeds to chase her down through some water system tunnel, only to likely find out who she is and to disengage (likely so that Boruto would be the one to decide on what to do).


So, is Metal Lee completely like his Father and won't be able to use ninjitsu or is it something else.

Naruto and them didn't learn until they were with Kakashi so I doubt academy students can do it except for ones trained in it. Though it's likely he's just like Lee, did we ever find out who his mom was? If he has any chance at ninjutsu it rests on her.
