Vegeta fked up in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and that he never trains right. Goku's method of training is the reason why he will always be superior I don't even know why Akira bothers making Vegeta his rival.

Plus, his interpretation of the scan is flawed, that's why he thinks otherwise.
The question about "surpassing" isn't even valid for Sasuke since Sasuke was already ahead to begin with. You don't surpass someone you're already ahead of. Naruto was the one who had the burden of surpassing and didn't surpass Sasuke. He just equaled him.

Not nececarilly. Goku had Godly Ki from going SSG before. It's possible that Vegeta only managed to catch up to Goku in the 6 months. Also, Whis said that Goku had joined at the right time, which i think means Vegeta and Goku are at relatively similar powers right now.
I dont think so! The only time Vegeta had the upper hand on Goku was when they first meet, he's been behind him sense.
He sold his soul for power and was so arrogant he didn't realize that Goku had an entire transformation that he didn't even use. Vegeta states as well as Goku that they were equal. Goku took advantage of the idiot when he stated that, he felt superior to Goku.
I shouldn't even mention Frieza.
Goku could have handle the androids if it wasn't for his heart condition while Vegeta got drugg around.
Cell games Vegeta was no match for perfect cell ( Though i could say cell stage 2 he could've handled ).
He did nothing against Buu but help Goku fail in his attempt in killin Buu. So goku fights him by his self and finishes the job with the help of the universe.
Vgeta's god mode won't be stronger than Goku if his SS modes aren't stronger.
That's only my opinion!.
