Spoilers for the latest episode! watch before you read!

That tree Vaatu was imprisoned in is the exact same tree from ATLA that Aang went to in the season one finale. And their bodies are shaped the same. And Vaatu did not have a face, which is why he became the face stealer.

So main villain = Ko

I like it :cool:

Also, anyone else notice the tree at the very end of the episode? It's already too late to close the portal

I forgot about Ko!

Also I saw on a Youtube comment that Unaloq wants to become the avatar through Vaatu, which is why he wants to open the portals. It seems possible, still a theory though.

Ive been saying that Koh would be the last villain since it has to do with spirits and the only bad spirit weve known is Koh.
Makes sense. Unaloq probably is making a deal with him.

This is actually turning out to be an even better season that expected!

That's based on the rumor that the plot of The Search has been leaked. However as long as the final chapter hasn't been released, you can't be 100% certain, though TLA has the habit of leaking and this supposed leak sounds plausible.

I don't really believe that Vaatu is Koh either way. There might be a connection between Vaatu and Koh, still I don't think they are the same just because of that tree as you would expect that Vaatu hates the Avatar and can't do anything from that tree. Still he somewhat helped Aang during the Battle of the North and he stole the face of the wife of Avatar Kuruk who was in the physical world (albeit in a spiritual place on a spiritual day).

Seems extremely odd for someone who is destined to fight every 10 000 years his natural arch nemesis.

That's fair. I couldn't help but notice the similarities between the two. Their bodies are very alike also.

Koh was said to be the only spirit old enough to know of the Ocean and Moon spirits. If that were the case, then Vaatu, the first spirit to enter the Human world, would have to know also.

However it's true, they may not be the same entity. I believe they're related somehow, if not the same being.. His behavior towards Aang was quite odd, but 10,000 years in a tree prison might've just made him not care about certain things. He has to wait until the harmonic convergence anyway


But of course, this theory could be totally blown away by all the comic releases.
