Byakugan anticipation and Sharingan anticipation is quite different. 360 Degree vision eliminates the need for precognition as clear and precise as the Sharingan's. Byakugan precognition has hardly followed through in the series, as shown when Neji get's hit by merely one arrow sent by Kidomaru; meaning that the precognition isn't all that it's made out to be.
In the manga it says "sense" rather than anticipate, meaning that he can't exactly foresee anything. Once he senses an attack, it's all up to his reflexes to determine whether he actually dodges or counters an attack.
When fighting Kidomaru, he can sense the attacks rather than actually read any and every minor to major movement. It's not that he saw the shit in slow motion.
