Did I miss something? I dont recall seeing anything that indicates that Sakura has any real connection with Sasuke at this point... So how did his daughter end up there?

If Sarada was an experiment, only the kids would be kept in the dark about this, the adults would obviously know the truth. If an adult man from outside the village targeting Sasuke calls her his daughter, then she is his daughter.

No, if hypothetically she was an experiment, the only reason for them to hide that is for her and her friends' well being, until they become mature enough to accept something like that. That is not something you would keep from adults.

If anything they would try to hide the fact that Sasuke has a natural daughter from outsiders, because family can be a liability when you are being targeted, which is precisely what is happening here.
