The seals, Hagormoo said he gave this current generation (Naruto/Sasuke) both of the power.

Which is yin seal and yang seal, in Indra's case he didn't get any of the seals his little brother Ashura did.

The battle of successor was not done through a fight, Ninshuu is not ment for that.

It was a battle of connection that Indra lost, leaving the end result of Ashura winning both seals from his father.

Indra became made and attack Ashura after gaining both of those seals.

Anyone who thinks the sage gave Ashura powers is an idiot. The sage is out of chakra and can't do anything after giving his chakra to Sasuke and Naruto. If he had given it to Ashura then, he would't have any power to give Sasuke and Naruto. Also if the Sage gave all his powers to Ashura, why do Ashura incarnations need Indra to achieve rinnegan, and also why doesn't Ashura have a rinnegan then?

actually ashura was said to have trained and gained power to match his brother. the sage never said that he gave ashura his power because they were basically both already born with it. for instance, the sage never gave ashura the tailed beast as he separated them from inside himself and then created the tailed beast. what he means by left everything to indra is his way of ninshu. the sage specifically at one point said that he left ashura as his successor to the way of ninshu. he never once said he gave him power.
