From what I keep seeing, the sage has said twice already that he gave his son all of his power. I guess that would explain how he has the guddoudama but still, if he had the sage's full power, shouldn't he have wiped the floor with Indra instead of tying with him?

Indra was born with power that bloomed at a young age. Ashuras took much longer to mature and he had to train hard to reach Indras level.

The manga doesn't tell us what power Sage gave Ashura or if he used that power when he fought his brother. The manga does say Ashura was able to match his brother's power through training and suffering.

Remember, sage gave Sasuke the eye power and Naruto the body power. His sons already had that power so he wouldn't have given his son the same power. I believe he gave him the secret to ninshuu.

Dont know if power was given specifically to fight indra, but the fight happened after ashura got sage's power.

No it doesn't. Black zetsu clearly says that AFTER indra's and ashura's fight, he instigated certain actions (ex: adding to the uchiha tablet) to make indra continue the fued even after their fight.

OP: All we know is that in the past the sage left "everything" to ashura. We don't know exactly what that entails yet.

it turns out Hagoromo just wanted to even the playing field a bit between them. He had stated some time before then that Indra had the advantage of having some of that power when he was born while Ashura didn't.
