Yeah I'm sorry too. As I said, I was excited when it was revealed he was Tobi, because there were so many things Kishimoto could do with it. Instead we just get this...well, poor excuse for a villain, who I think just needs a slap across the face, a drink to the belly and a nice long therapy session.

I guess it doesn't help that I'm not a big fan of the whole 'creating a dreamworld' thing either. I like the fact that it's not the cliché 'destroy the world because shut up', but that's about the only real thing I like about their plan. It just seems like a pathetic excuse for people who can't handle reality.

And before you ask, no, I have not seen the love of my life been killed by my best friend right before my very eyes. That will almost certainly never happen. This is still a fictional story I used to be quite fond of, and I'd rather have villains I can relate to/like without having my loved ones killed, thankyouverymuch.

Well I'm not saying you have to have your loved ones die. Although Sasuke would be greatly happy.

The whole thing is not appealing. I believe Madara will betray Obito and rule the world.

The whole taking everyone over is far fetched to me. I believe that if the Sage wanted something like that to happen it would be more less brain washing.

That quote there explains my point. It's just the reality that can be reflected to about everyone in Naruto. It's true it's a pretty messed up world. Obito needs to sit down and think about the situation. But of course he does not care as stated in the manga.

One thing that is evil. Is he did not care about Kakashi. He left him there. He said he does not care if he is alive or not he will live with me in the new world as well as Rin. That's messed up there. He still considers him as trash and still not knowing fully what happen.

I wouldn't call this Obito's 'true nature', considering all he has gone through.

I get the need for villains, and Tobi being Obito was a brilliant move if you ask me - no one would have cared if it was Izuna or Kagami or whatever random individual you could think of. However, there are a few things that do bother me personally:

1 - The guy never shuts up. Seriously, it's like he's a broken CD or something. Maybe someone activated Izanami and he's just tossing around angrily in his little mind.

his constant talk is in response to that other guy that hasn't shut up since part one. you know, the naive blonde kid.

2 - Weak motivation. Now I know a lot of people will disagree with me: Madara did a fair bit of brainwashing, he saw his new best friend kill his crush and whatever. But remember he has been actively trying to escape into his own private Disneyworld for about what, half his life? And he suddenly stopped caring about EVERYTHING, including the guy who just murdered his crush which made him switch sides in the first place?

all he wanted was to protect the people he loved and cared for. when Rin died by Kakshi's hand, there was no reason for him to take it out on Kakshi then and there. how would that have brought Rin back to life? so when someone tells you that there is another way to bring back everyone you cared for while also putting an end to war and hate, why not give your whole life to this plan? his motivation and conviction is why he is as strong and successful as he his.

3 - He thinks he's justified. Now this is tricky, this can be done well, but I don't think it was in Obito's case. I had this same issue with Nagato and still have with Sasuke - they're not ENTITLED to anything. A tragic past doesn't mean they have the right to do as they damn please. He just comes across as a spoiled brat in need of spanking.

4 - I just wanted to keep one likeable Uchiha, but I guess I'll have to wait until he inevitably redeems himself, which brings me to...

5 - Inevitable redemption. We all know he's going to switch sides yet again. He's got guilt written all over his forehead.

And finally.

6 - F*cking. Senju DNA.

this sounds a little more like butt hurt hating so...

Naruto,Sasuke and Nagato suffered much more deeply than Obito.And many other characters too.
Until a point they were right to do what they did.
I understand that ut was hard for Obito to see his teenage crush getting killed by his friend but that doesn't justify his reaction.
He passed almost 20 years,killing,manipulating and hurting others.
All this for a dream world that nobody has to suffer.That is a contraduction on its own.
Nagato believed in pain.He believed that was the way to achieve peace.Sasuke wanted revenge to easy his guilts and blame others for his suffer.
Obito claims that he wants a world that nobody has to suffer but he intentionally hurts others.
In this I dont find any logic

Actually pretty damn good response. And yes he wants to live in the dream world with Kakashi and Rin.

I honestly can't picture someone who would not take this after losing everything he hope to achieve and his hopes of being a Hokage as well.

I don't 'hate' on anything, but in my opinion, the Uchiha are normally portrayed as completely unlikeable and, quite frankly, appalling. However, actually hating something in a story would be a terrible waste of time and energy.

he was treated like a kid then he got into a wreck .....someone found him...infused him with somebody elses power...then he got stronger.......and out of control angry and mad.......tried to sestroy everything.......but he was just emotional and mentally ill kinda.......

It's a simple explanation.

Obito wanted the series to be called "Obito." Kishimoto promised the series would be named after him.

But when Obito read the script....dear goodness. He went all mental, and tried to end the series of Naruto!

well #4 & #5 make it sound as if you don't like "bad guys" at all. so already putting those characters in your "i don't like you" column without actually looking in to what they really are is pretty hater-ish.

#6 is just an obvious hater comment. Hashi is made up of Hashi/Senju dna, is a total beast because of it, and nobody complains so...

well iv'e heard a lot of people complaining that Obito doesn't shut up, but we have to remember that he wasn't even trying to say anything in the first place. even told Kakshi to shut up, and he still kept asking why, why, why... Naruto loves to preach to everyone. i personally almost think bad guys turn good in hopes that he will finally shut up. jk

yeah that whole attack on the leaf thing is just as puzzling and probably will never be explained. its the base for Naruto & Sasuke's characteristics and how they would live their lives as the story progresses, but when it came to that masked man being Obito, Kishi didn't really think that one through. as iv'e posted before...

i don't think the Uchihas have been completely portrayed as an unlikable clan. i think its more the people that hate are who influence which characters are liked or not.

The problem its that obito just unexplainely took revenge on the whole world, instead of just killing Kakashi. Even sasuke cause has a little more senses than obito's one 1000x.

For me obito its a bad written Villain that will only appealed to emo teenagers.

Nagato had the right to do what he did.. Obito's just butthurt about the girl he liked that never liked him and got killed by Kakashi - thank god, she was prob another Sakura.

Could've just killed Kakashi and that's it.

Er.. No comment about the rest of the point of discussion but:

Nagato didn't go crazy. He may have lacked the leadership quality, Itachi, Minato and many other characters had but he didn't seem insane to me at any point. With his power and skills he would have been deadlier if he had his personal ambition and really into the whole leadership thing.

Yahiko was one giving the Akatsuki a definite direction. He had rejected Tobi. Nagato was lost after his death and Tobi was able to manipulate him more easily and take over the organization as de-facto leader. Nagato felt that Jiraiya's concept was a failure and Yahiko's death proved that it was impractical and Tobi's idea would work better.

Even then you see that he was not entirely convinced of Tobi's idea of the new world. Otherwise he would not have tried to talk to Naruto throughout their fight. It maybe that at some unconscious level he remembered that Yahiko had said no to Tobi. Dunno. Can't say what Kishi had in his mind for him. But, I would say Nagato realized that he lacked the conviction Naruto had to stick to the Jiraiya or Yahiko's way and that's why he let him take the lead. How is that crazy?
