It's only a bashing thread because you don't like what you see and the fact that you cover up Naruto's ignorance with the good hearted attitude further proves that you reek of bs. No one in their right mind would call forgiveness of that insane level a good thing.
If this thread was about Sasuke being an emo prick, I doubt you would call that a bash thread, so you can keep your irrelevant assumptions to yourself.
Only because this thread is aimed at Naruto automatically entails that it's a bash thread, but believe me if I wanted to make a bash thread about Naruto it would be 100x worse than this.
It is a shonen, with a target audience of 10-16 year old people. That's all I can say.
IMO however, I find it harder and harder to relate to him every week. Before he used to be the mischievous, looked-down upon, isolated hardworking underdog. Now...he's pretty much befriended the whole world and is a demi-god who is a reincarnation of another demi-god and is the chosen child of prophecy.

My goodness, since when did naruto say that because he forgives Obito, Obito should be alleviated from punishment for his past actions? I'm sure naruto believes that everyone ought to forgive obito for his past actions, but how in the world does that make Naruto selfish? That's just naruto's opinion, an opinion that he'll probably beg the alliance to take up, but never force onto them.
Stop mindlessly bashing characters and actually THINK about what you are saying.

No, Naruto can't ask his dead mother does she forgive Obito for what he did to her or ask Neji if he forgives him for what he did to him. Naruto is just blindly forgiving Obito without anyone else's consent while at the same time putting the forgiveness on everyone else when they have no say in the matter.
You can't assume that everyone agrees about forgiving Obito when we don't even know for sure, and it's still selfish for him to forgive Obito despite what he did, which you people keep blindly missing from the beginning.
He said Obito was the coolest guy ever. Heck, can be worse than a mere forgiveness, and you do not call a man who slaghtered thousands for years "cool" unless he got redeemed in your eyes. Even begging for something like that from others is repulsive and sickening.
He wants to be hokage, right? Isn't giving a damn about what people who get 1st degree harm can think would help his case of emphaty? But no he is right, the world exists from his eyes and Obito is just cool for him. Who cares what others could think, have or live?
Except the Obito Naruto was reffering to obviously wasn't the same Obito who slaughtered thousands for years. The Obito Naruto was referring to was about to revive everyone he killed in the war, brought himself back from an unconscious state multiple times in order to save Naruto, saved Sasuke, and ended up giving his life for Naruto and Sasuke.
Why in the hell does Naruto forgiving Obito = he doesn't give a dam about what the people who were wronged by Obito think? Stop with your silly and completely illogical attempts at rhetoric, Naruto is fighting for the world, he shouldering everyone at the moment. He clearly cares deeply for every comrade he's had even the ones he's never met before. Just because Naruto doesn't agree with their opinions in no way means that he doesn't care about them.
What the hell? Since when does Naruto need anyone else's consent to forgive someone? Even if everyone on the planet hated Obito, why in the hell does that mean Naruto has to hate him as well or not forgive him? Naruto is entitled to his own opinions just like anyone else.
When in the world did I state the bolded? Don't put words into my mouth, address the points that I bring up, I'm absolutely not assuming that everyone agrees to forgive Obito, I'm saying that it's irrelevant as Naruto's decision to personally forgive Obito is Naruto's decision alone.
Oh and please oh please tell me how Naruto is being SELFISH for forgiving someone who's wronged him so much?

I think Naruto was just being emotional because it's a moment of Obito's death,he's just overwhelmed and remembers nothing,,but he's wrong to call him 'the coolest guy' even if he forgave him.not after all this all what he did is considered nothing,what even was his biggest misery 'Rin's death'? so a girl dies and he kills thousands? and we should sympathize with him? that logic is weird..
