Do you do know Senju were skilled/masters in all forms of ninja way. And being a taijutsu expert has nothing to do with opening the gates..

Either he recorded it observing Gai's dad, or it was recorded somewhere else that once the human opens all the inner gates, he becomes invincible (like Itachi who studied old inscriptions about the Uchiha).

Just like to correct you. I believe it is not power that fluctuates but the duration of the user. As we seen in today's manga, Gai couldn't do the whole combo initially but because of the pain. I believe Dai died/or was in so much pain, that he couldn't kill all of them. But maybe, not that it matters, each 8 gate users power differs only by a bit. Not enough to make a huge difference though; if 8 gates does depend on the power of other users.

As for Senju clan or whatever it is, I think its just hype/reputation that Madara has heard. Or maybe even experienced. I don't think it belongs to a clan, unless Dai/Gain/Lee belong to a clan.
