Obito's supposed goal is to fix the ninja world, if he turns on Madara then he is either going to entrust this goal to either Naruto or (probably unlikely) the Sage. He was already going to die for Madara to become the Juubi host it's really not as implausible as it sounds at first.

You're very confused the requirements you mentioned were for edo tensei
