So if Obito can use Rinne Tensei to revive Madara then why wouldn't he just use it to revive the SO6P? Before we thought that there was a time limit when Nagato used it to revive the village... but if there isn't then the sage could literally return...

Edit for clarity: Since people aren't getting my point I will expand on what I mean.

At the moment Obito/Juubi/Edo Madara seem a bit unbeatable, but Obito has hinted towards not steady loyalty to Madara.

Perhaps one way forward for the Alliance is for Naruto to TnJ Obito into turning to his side. If this happened Obito could Rinne Tensei the Sage in order to fight the Juubi and Edo Madara and place his faith in Naruto and the Sage that they could create a better world.

Before Madara came back as an Edo there were only vague things we knew about him from Tobi and there was basically no chance he was coming back (unless you guys actually bought Tobi=Madara)

I think that looking at what the Alliance is up against there is not much that can defeat a Madara with Hashi's power and unlimited chakra, except for Sage. I hope that Shikaku thought of some brilliant strategy, but I'm having a hard time thinking of what it could possibly be.

Back when Madara was just mentioned in passing before Tobi took on his persona people probably never thought he'd actually appear in the manga as a real character in the present. The way people from farther and farther back keep coming back through edos I think it is plausible that the sage could make an appearance through Rinne Tensei.

Really I think the biggest argument against this is that Naruto wouldn't be the destined child.... Although really tangentially it would make the Obito = Darth Vader analogy much stronger because Naruto would affect Obito to inspire Madara's downfall the same way Luke inspired Vader with the kind of ambiguous who was the real destined child sort of thing going on.

He's more powerful than Madara. If Obito wants a perfect world and has no special loyalty to Madara the Sage can fulfill Madara's role better than him and probably without any sort of possible ulterior manipulative motive like Madara might have.

The Sage's goal was creating a perfect world. Obito wouldn't actually be able to communicate the moon's eye plan to the Sage but bringing him back would be one of the best ways to stop Edo Madara/ Juubi and bring about a better world.

what are u talking about he killed them and he only could revive those whose souls werent gone yet

obito cant reveive the sage unless he some how gets complete juubi and probably look though its memories if he can and then maybe he could other wise
