[Discussion] So how many of you dislike Choji?

Just curious after this last chapter. He is basically choking up during this war. He can't hack it. This is the second time he cried. Bad enough for him, but he is going to get Shika and Ino killed now with his stupidity. Shika and Ino probably could have taken out Asuma in a few minutes without Choji there.

I never really cared about Choji, but now I kind of dislike him with the way he is acting. Hinata of all people shows great courage. Even Tenten didn't act scared. I hope Kishi doesn't make him a hero now, but as long as he does, he should die doing it.

Kishi has to show that screwing up in war and acting scared gets you killed.

You may be one of the sexies nee-samas I've ever met but! What Kishimoto-sensei is trying to show us is that things aren't that easy especially when you're up against someone you hold dear, even more so when he has already died. I think he's trying to show us that overcoming your feelings of attachment towards others isn't an easy thing to do. Being emotional is fine. Being emotional to the point where you can get you teammates killed is not fine! Then you become a liability and should leave the field of battle.


Asuma was like a second father to Shikamaru. Shikamaru is a lot closer to Asuma than Choji ever was. There was a whole arc about Asuma and Shikamaru's relationship. Yet we don't see him freaking out having to take out Asuma. Just Choji.

yea your right emotional to the point were you'll get yourself and your friends killed i understand also you have to realize this is choji's first war hes ever been in and the kids only 16 hes not built mentally maybe physically and thats just that.

and yea shikamaru and asuma were very close. but its not fair for you to say that he had no relationship with choji or ino just because we barely seen them talk you have to assume that when they were genin theey did everything together on those team missions. also asuma would be take choji to get BBQ all the time after he did something good they all love there sensei ino and shikamaru understand what needs to be done and have let go of there feelings towards asuma but choji cant do so as of yet. all ninjas are incomplete because of there emotions.

Choji is a great disappointment. He was using Barry Bonds enhancing pills (supercharged chakra pills). Without this little boost, he was toast.

So i would have to say, it would be a nice twist in the storyline if he was killed by Asuma.

Maybe then somehow by killing Choji Asuma's soul may be released by severe heartbreak. (Not possible but would be interesting)

Oh yea, one more thing. Maybe Asuma will start calling Choji fat to get him angry.:flaw:

i dont dislike choji there is nothing wrong with him. he is just very emotional when it comes to fighting the man that taught him everything he knows about being a ninja. its more of a respect thing he has for asuma. but i have a feeling asuma may end up killing choji.

this would be the perfect moment for Butterfly Choji to make his comback..

is it me or does Butterfly Choji seem like a filler to me..? it was like one of the coolest things ever and it just went away and never was seen again! so was Kiba's giant 2 headed dog transformation and Lee's Drunken Monkey Style.. smh i want those 3 transformation to make a comeback in this war!!

Asuma will steal Chojis food that he's carrying with him and call him a fatty, that'll enrage Choji. After going enrage he'll recognize what he'd done and will go for Sepukku, i hope xd

Well the only things Choji cares about are food and Shikamaru. He evens cares more about Shikamaru than food. He killed a guy because he insulted Shikamaru, not because he called him fat. Not even Naruto loves Sasuke THAT much. So if Shika gets hurt, Choji will go crazy and tear anyone apart.

Hmmm, I wounder if Choji is in love with Shikamaru? He seems to care about him a lot more than Ino.

Hey Temari, you better watch out around Choji. He wants your man!
