This might be obvious to some, and sorry if this was already posted, but how can Naruto be 17 already?
We know Naruto was 12 at the start of part 1. We also know that when Naruto first met Minato, he was 16 years old. Now considering it was 2 and a half years between parts 1 and 2, that would put him at 15 and a half at the start of part 2 assuming the duration of part 1 was a year in their time.
This seems to be the logic Narutopedia follows when aging the characters, considering Narutopedia states Naruto was 12-13 in part 1 and 15-16 in part 2. Going by all this logic alone, Naruto should be more like a younger 16 year old rather than just about to turn 17. I know this is a minor issue and trusting Narutopedia is not a good idea 100% of the time, but honestly I feel that Naruto's 17th birthday being 1 day away does not match the timeline we've gotten used to.
I suppose one way to consider the timeline would be as follows:
Naruto is 12.5 years old at the start of part 1. One year passes in part 1, making Naruto 13.5. Two and a half years pass between parts 1 and 2, making Naruto 16. One full year passes between the start of part 2 and present time, making Naruto 1 day short of 17. Does that possibly make sense? If this were the case, however, that would make Naruto 16 and now 16-17 in Part 2, rather than 15-16 as Narutopedia states. Anyone else have thoughts or ideas?
