why cant science prove 100% that evolution is correct? why cant science prove 100% that the big bang really happened? science hasnt proved anything. also why are there still monkeys in on earth? why havent the monkeys evolved in to humans yet? science is just an excuse to not believe in God

I believe in what science says and I believe in God :I

No problem, mate. Thanks for sharing it.

I guess I came to not believing in god because of the way believers (not all, please forgive me for my generalization) treat others. I guess it could be argued that this is how I first became against organized religion (church). I saw no real good coming out of it. I was born and raised Roman Catholic, and the most I saw was lots of judging, my personal experience, I am not attempting to say that this is 100% true 100% of the time. I began questioning the whole thing. Questions like "if there was a god, why xyz happens?" "why would he want xyz?" or "why would I be punished for doing xyz?" None of it made sense to me.

So that's how I turned agnostic. Then I started to actually READ the bible, not the passages my priest would preach about, but everything. Desperately trying to cling to my faith. I didn't find anything to keep me believing, I only found reasons not to believe. In my opinion, if there is a god, he is a cruel god. Not a loving god. Now, I am an atheist. But I try my best never to say "there is absolutely no god" because how can I possibly know if there's one or not? You can say that is the definition of being agnostic and that I am not really an atheist. I'd like to disagree with that. I wouldn't say I am still an agnostic because I am no longer questioning god's existence. I no longer care if there is one.

As I said before, to each their own. Just don't try to make laws that interfere with my life in any way based on your religious views.
Agree with you completely bro, *****. thanks for being rational and fulfilling the point of me posting this thread. I appreciate it!

Yeah I am looking at the bigger picture but you typed that really bad. I never stated that we just came out of nothing. There is still a lot which is yet to be learned. And what is the big picture to you? The big picture to me is science and logic. I would rather believe that which can be proven instead of that which can not, and is started to get proven otherwise.
you do realize the science makes a lot of mistakes and makes theories that are unexplainable but you right its all about

what you believe therefore this discussion is pointless

It could be argued either way. It could be argued that religeon is an excuse not to believe in god also, and vice versa. I'm not saying stephan hawking is correct on everything, and there is still a lot that is yet to be learned. Look man, i just wanted to see what people thought about a video.

religion is just a word that man created. its not about religion its about the realtionship a person has with God. and i can see you never had one with him

People are cruel i agree as humans we aren't perfect i mean look at bthe crusades look at the holocuast mostly relgion based stuff and religion based wars. But i hate it when i see people making it gods fault its teh devils not gods the devil brought sin into the world the devil brough violence and thus we became sinful we became violent and we are imperfect its humans fault not gods. Yes he could have stopped it he has devine power he has full power over everything but that doesn't mean he'll stop all our problems for us.

the teacher is always quiet during teh test. We are being put to teh test to see who is worthy of haven if god were to solve our problems for us how would we learn? how would we pass teh test? we wouldn't if god gave us teh answers. and what do you get when you pass the test you graduate and go to haven ( death would be teh time limit i suppose xd) and if you fail you get held back ( hell xd)

thats just my view though and as a human my view may be wrong

As i've said countless times on this thread, I do not agree with everything hawking says, i do not agree with everything science says, we've been wrong before, and we're probably wrong about a lot as of now. Also another thing that i've said countless times on this thread is that I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE BELIEVE IN, I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN!!! WE CAN BELIEVE IN ANYTHING WE WANT!

Ok do you know how many smart people on this website there are that make good arguments. I WAS NOT ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A DAMN HOTTEST THREAD FOR THE LAST TIME. I WANTED TO SEE PEOPLES VIEWS ON THIS VIDEO BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT I GOT. Where did you read that i said people on here are smarter than that MAN, not monkey.

Dude...you made a thread about the possibility of the Creator's existance on Naruto Base...the only people on NB have the intelligence of monkeys and the attention span of such...what did you expect?

Oh...wow...another one? Seriously? Hawking might be smart, but some of the smartest people often happen to be the dumbest as well.

@bold: ...I've only found maybe 2-3 people on this whole site that actually have intelligence above that of a monkey...your statement about intellectuals being here is...

You're not one of these people.

I wouldn't argue with your reply be cause as you have said it is your opinion. And a valid one at that. However, I'd like to point out that in the bible, there are lots of instances where the evil does come from god himself. One of the many that really make me go "WTF?" is the following one.

Numbers 31:7-18
They fought against Midian, as the LORD commanded Moses, and killed every man. Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba - the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. The Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder. They burned all the towns where the Midianites had settled, as well as all their camps. They took all the plunder and spoils, including the people and animals, and brought the captives, spoils and plunder to Moses and Eleazar the priest and the Israelite assembly at their camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.

Moses, Eleazar the priest and all the leaders of the community went to meet them outside the camp. Moses was angry with the officers of the army - the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds - who returned from the battle.

"Have you allowed all the women to live?" he asked them. "They were the ones who followed Balaam's advice and were the means of turning the Israelites away from the LORD in what happened at Peor, so that a plague struck the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."

Sorry, I go quote crazy some times.

Lol its alright! Once again, a very good post. I have noticed that it is in fact god who has killed more than the devil.

@bold: Rude much? Also, it's not very christian like to tell someone they are going to hell....
On Topic: you're right about the theories part though. His theories are like the ones on NB. Maybe they're right and maybe they're wrong. Most of the time it's wrong though......

I'd argue that over 90% of the deaths in the bible are caused by god. But hey, I am not a mathematician.

i suppose that was aimed at my reply, And yes its my view and yes thats in the bible God also flooded teh earth for 40 days and forty nights, in the old testement we get God the judge who will help only his people who choose to believe in him. he also set 10 plagues on ( can't spell xd) But after jesus came and died for us He showed love for ALL of us he died on that cross for us all thats also why he stopped them from sacerficing lambs god of the old testement was to be feared he will not return unill the last day when we are judged. and fro my test staement one more thing, he left teh answers to the test in jesus though his words.
