Oro and Deidara's weakness is genjutsu and that was Itachi's power not just Sharingan (Sasuke had Sharingan and CM and still went to extremes)

We aren't. She has all three doujutsu and she has been soloing the most powerful sharingan and rinnegan user in the NV with just the Byakugan. So it makes us question just what the Byakugan is truly capable of.

Out of the 3 Byakugan has the least bit of history and is the least seen of the 3 throughout the series.

-We've only seen little from it being used in this current fight but we've seen what it can do.
-Kaguya can use it well but that doesn't change the fact that the power being used stems from the dojutsu.
-Wielding it properly doesn't change the fact that its power is being used properly.

At this level of combat the byakugan can at least cover blind spots, and increase a person's analytical skills, whereas the 3T sharingan would give less analytical skills and some other effects which are useless now.

Actually that makes me wonder - does the sharingan's ability to predict attacks help at all anymore?

Maybe the Hyuuga Line comes from Hamura. If he had sons then maybe the Hyuuga ancestry follows Hamura's bloodline and maybe even the Uzumaki as well which may be how they are distantly related to the Senju.

So many mysteries left to explore.

Thanks, well they didn't really show the whole fight and like I said Itachi (individually) was amazingly good at genjutsu, even for Uchihas, and it's Oro's weakness after all

The truth is that if a Byakugan and a Sharingan user fought (using only the eyes powers) the Byakugan user would win, he can counter anything the Sharingan brings
