People are calling a ton of plotholes for this chapter, but most are explainable. In the case of the tablet however, only those with doujutsu can read it. How was Zetsu able to read and alter it while staying within these requirements?

A good thought, but Zetsu admits that he attempted to create the Rinnegan within the Uchiha for generations. We know by the time Madara had it, it was altered. So he couldn't have had access to Rinnegna before that.

That's begging the question right there and recording and doujutsu don't really have much to do with each other.

OT: I just answered someone this but never got another thought about it. I'll repost my answer and let me know what you think cause I'm trying to figure this out too.

This is actually questionable. But I assumed it was because BZ comes from Kaguya just as Hagaramo once came from Kaguya. All 3 of these have a portion of the Juubi's power thanks to Kaguya, so I assumed that's what allowed BZ to change the text.

It's likely to hard to say right now. The way that i see it, since BZ's and Hagaramo's power comes directly from Kaguya thanks to the Juubi, the rules of doujutsu didn't apply for BZ. Doujutsu is required since doujutsu usually means you are Indra's descendants. Indra comes from Hagaramo of course so in a sense, you need power similar to the Sage's in order to read the text. But since BZ has similar power to the Sage originally (since they both come from Kaguya), this was not the case for Black Zetsu.
