[Question] So about HXH

I was considering watching/reading the series but I am unsure for the moment. The only thing keeping me away is the main character's destine, does he get older or does his looks change through the series?

Also what are the pros for the series.

No, time just progresses at a realistic rate. At the beginning he was twelve and now he's fourteen. It's not like usual when everything happens while the characters are the same age.

he pretty much looks the same throughout the entire series, if there was a change its hardly noticeable.

I would suggest that you try the series and if you do then definitely watch it instead of reading it because sometimes the artwork in the manga is just too bad to even look at

I highly recommend that you give this anime a try because it is pne of the beat shonen animes out right now

Yeah definitely is one of the best anime. I would watch the 1999 version first and than continue where they left off on episode 54 of the 2011 version (thats what I did). I just like the feel and overall atmosphere of those older anime so I watched the 99 version first but if you dont' care too much for that just watch 2011 version from the beginning. Either way its a great anime

Try it. I felt like that too when I first read this 4 Months Ago - Now am in chapter 36 and it the 2 Best Shonen Jump I ever read.

since you haven't started yet , then you should start it , but it's a lot more complicated then one piece , instead of haki , you hv a lot of more things ... that's what i meant by complicated. other than that it's just an awesome series to watch .

oh yeah and watch the 2011 version , it doesn't has any fillers.

I went through the HxH anime quick, it's an amazing series. I just recommend the 2011 version, the better the quality, the more enjoyable. Reading the manga is up to you, I keep thinking to myself if I really want to read it because the anime does a great job depicting the characters and the plot plus a more surprising element, not that the manga couldn't do that but it adds more to the story.

Watch it. Gon grows older, but his appearance does not change. No timeskips. As the series progresses he grows older.

He gradually gets older. There has been no major timeskip yet. He's 12 at the start of the series, he's 14 now.

As for his Appearance. As the series goes on, he does start to look tougher as for the actual clothes? Not really. He doesn't wear his Green Outfit all the time, he does wear several outfits at times but usually its just the Green Outfit.

Not every character is like that though, there's a couple in particular that are literally barbies.
