I did my research on snakes prior to asking you or Vincent for training. Hell, I even have a few custom summons planned. I think the limit is 5 custom summons per summon, is that right? Always loved snakes in the anime, how Sasuke used them was awesome, especially against Deidara. The way he used them to gain a tactical advantage or defend was epic. xd
"Snakes are... Cool headed, cold hearted and simply, deadly."
Snakes are carnivorous reptiles that use poison, constriction or both to kill their prey, which they consume whole. They are cold blooded killers with dry, scaled skin and some have deadly enough poison to kill a full grown man. The venom of a snake is said to leave an intense burning sensation, this is delivered through the snakes fangs. The largest snakes on earth can reach up to around 25-30 ft long, which is pretty big... All snakes shed their skin during a process known as molting.
They use their tongues to detect the slightest of smells in the air, which they then use in conjunction with a organ, found in the head, to determine what made the smell and which direction it's from. Their vision is not the best in the animal kingdom, but they can track motion easily enough, with some species having the ability to focus on certain points and others even having infrared vision.
As well as having an interesting biology, snakes have a very essential part in medicine, religion and general symbolism.
They are known to be symbols of rebirth and healing because they molt their dead skin off and start anew. This is why many cultures believe they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. The ouroboros, a snake eating it's own tail in Greek mythology (I think), is a symbol of eternity.
Their venom can be used to treat snake bites thanks to modern innovation. It creates an anti venom, but I don't know much about the process, beyond the fact that the venom is extracted by using jars with rubber lids. This is one of the reasons why one snake or two snakes are in the Star of Life (Used in hospitals/ ambulances). They are wrapped around the Rod of Asclepius, this is because the staff was used to tame snakes. They are also associated with the 13th astrological sign, The Snake Tamer, Ophiuchus. Many culture revere them as deities and gods. Aztec, Norse, Hindu, African, Mayan, Egyptian, Aboriginal Australian and many more all have worshiped, revered or held some belief in snakes and serpents in their religion.
However, others shun them as they have been shown in depictions around the world as evil. One such tale is Adam and Eve. The snake used temptation to trick Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, the Snake being used as a symbol for the Devil. The story of Hercules tells of Medusa, a once beautiful woman who's appearance turned as foul as her dark heart and any who look upon her turn to stone. This only hardens my resolve, because snakes are so dark and mysterious, yet never truly hide their motives. If you mess with one, you will get hurt.
"Beyond that, I have seen them used in a multitude of ways in the past. Mostly by Sasuke Uchiha. This is what sparked my interest in them. So... Was that information sufficient?"
