ok, some initial observations on my end (I say initial after watching the trailer like a bunch of times xD) I'll go by a moment to moment backdrop. I'd recommend watching the video and following along with my commentary.

- The City backdrop is beautiful and colorful (dat engine doe)

- Fancy casino/palace/ball place? Holy shit Atlus, as if this game couldn't get any classier

- The protag is the masked guy, obv. What's his purpose though? Is he committing a crime? Trying to have fun? A vigilante? Both? Almost very noir-ish with a modern twist, this part. Batman, V for Vendetta, Lelouch Vi Britannia all combined into one... influences galore!

- I. LOVE. THE. TRAILER. SOUNDTRACK. SHOJI-SAMA ;_;

- The red backdrop combined with our heroes swinging around is probably part of the opening title u_u

- The new Velvet Room assistants are twins! Igor looking as creepy as ever.

- ZOMFG them graphics, them exploration, them characters! The leftover Catherine influence can be sorta felt in the graphics rendering style.

- Two new characters confirmed: Chapter 700 Naruto a blond dude who looks like the best friend got your back kinda archetype, and a cute-lookin' chick (huehue). Notice how she has a four-leaf clover on her hoodie. Guessing she may be the Fortune Arcana? The guy has a star on his shirt: Star Arcana?

- The new "mascot" character seems to be that cat (Luxuria? But at the bottom it says "persona")... very interesting.

- THE MENUS ARE OOZING WITH STYLE OMGGGGGGGGGGGG I LOVE IT

- Zombie Train Driver.

- Platforming and Stealth in the Palace/Ball/Casino section. Assassin's Creed vibe though.

- Doesn't that "prisoner" look eerily like Pharos from P3? An older version of him??? THEORIESSSS??

- Gameplay looks excellent as usual, the new visual for the All Out Attack is awesome.

- Shadow Protag at the end. Yay!




In conclusion, this game is gonna be magnificent. LET'S DISCUSS!

Ryuji Sakamoto (坂本 竜司): A blonde boy
Anzu Takamaki (高巻 杏): A blonde girl
Morgana (モルガナ): A shapeshifting cat that has some form of connection to the Seven Deadly Sins
Twin Assistants: Two young assistants to Igor in the Velvet Room. They both wear an eyepatch over one of their eyes and a blue prison guard outfit.

I KNOW RIGHT! I guess the PS3 won't be far behind in the graphics department. This game runs on an improved Catherine engine, and Catherine was for the PS3.

The dude definitely looks bro-tier. The girl looked interesting enough. She reminds me of Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa, which is not a bad thing at all.

Her name is Morgana. She apparently has ties with the ''Seven deadly sins''.

Luxuria means Lust.

Maybe mind-controlled by Nyarlathotep. There was a figure at 1:00 really resembling Nyarlathotep.

That is most likely the MC without glasses. There was no other indication of P4/P3 so Pharos is highly unlikely. It was probably the MC entering the Velvet Room. Notice the assistants.

I really can't wait. Dx This is only the beginning. Improvements will probably arise.

Their status in the trailer look pretty weak, so that means that we'll get a full party at the start, I think the MC will use Wind or Dark, or both, the blond guy (MC best friend) will use physical attacks mostly, like usual, the girl will use magical attacks mostly or use both physic and magic, maybe using fire (because of her outfit color), the cat will be support/magic

I think that was just the artstyle they went with. I doubt they have ''inhuman'' abilities. The actual ''gameplay'' footage showed above average movements at best. They are probably really athletic and flexible, though. As expected from master thieves.

It's too early to start theorizing about their skills, too. Too little information for that. They are bringing back the Gun+Sword mechanic from Persona 1 so the skills available in P5 might differ a little from P3/P4.

I take my previous statement back. You may be right about the fact that they have super-human abilities.

During the scene where the protagonist jumps from chandelier to chandelier and the scene before that, a red thing can be seen after every step the protagonist takes. I wonder what that is.

Protagonist/The Phantom: The player character, a delinquent who moonlights as a gentlemanly thief. Wears a masquerade-ball mask and wields knives and handguns.

Ryuji Sakamoto (坂本 竜司): A yellow haired delinquent who attends the Protagonist's school and joins the Protagonist in his heists. Wears a skull mask and wields bludgeons and shotguns as weapons.

Anne Takamaki (高巻 杏): A blonde girl in the Protagonist's homeroom, who joins the Protagonist in his heists. Possibly foreign, as Takamaki is a Finnish last name. Wears a cat mask and uses whips and submachineguns.

Morgana (モルガナ): A shapeshifting cat that joins the protagonist in his heists and has some sort of connection to the Seven Deadly Sins. Wields swords and slingshots.

Igor

Twin Assistants: Two young assistants to Igor in the Velvet Room. They both wear an eyepatch over one of their eyes and a blue prison guard outfit. One has a long braid, the other hair buns.
