[Spoilers] Smoker has to have Haki

I think you should see it like this, all bleach captains are expected to have a bankai, but Kenpachi became captain without bankai but was able to become captain because he had other qualities.

It has been mentioned that all vice-admirals have haki, but Smoker with a logia body and a seastone Jutte has enough quality to make it as a vice-admiral even without haki.

Smoker has been in New world for 2 years, fighting and catching pirates. I'm sure he had more challenging opponents than Luffy's animals. So in terms of experience and improvement i'd say Smoker is still one step ahead.

My theory is that New world is filled with Haki users like Pekoms (I don't think 330mil bounty is a "wow" in New world) one of the main reasons it's called 'hell'.I'm sure that Smoker faced (dangerous) opponents with Haki and he beated them...who knows, maybe the marines(G5) have a Haki training just like the Rokushiki?

hmmm good catch X drake san ,something to think about but real life or not ,nothing can be compared to vigorous training for 2 years under the dark king himself .Remember the whole training was to make sure everyone is ready to face the new world . Rayliegh himself said that they are ready to face any difficulty that they come across .

One more thing is that whether smoker was at the new world for the past 2 yrs ? that should be confirmed yet .

This works too.

My only qualm would be that Smoker couldn't deal with Kenbunshoku. His offense is too limited to begin with. He can't become what Garp was to Roger without some kind of equalizer.

I think Oda might give him "Kings/Conquerors Haki" like luffy in the future just to make it fair between the two of them.....

Mostly cause i think Smoker will be the Garp for luffy in the Future, and Luffy as Gold Roger so i think they would have to end up pretty even like Garp and Roger were U_U

After the war, he was in Aokiji's office, talking with him and asking about his reassignment to the G-5 Marine base in the New World.

So i think that he was there for two years, because he wanted to be near his target.

I think, Coby will be new Sengoku and Helemeppo will be second Garp. Luffy will be new Roger and Zoro will be new Rayleigh.

nope, I meant Cobby will be fleet admiral (like Sengoku) and Helmeppo will be vice admiral(like Garp)..

And I agree with X Drake about Smoker that "he was there for two years(maybe not two years but enough to get stronger and gain to much experence), becouse he wanted to be near his target"

If you paid attention in the war of the best you could see plenty of Haki users fighting other Haki users. Good examples are Vista + Marco Vs. Akianu. They sliced his neck open, with Haki ! But he was just like hmph...

Shirohige stabbed Aokiji with Haki, but no problem there.

Only when a Haki user is fighting someone without Haki they have a big advantage

Haki, will probably be pretty common in the New World among the top tier pirates, at least the two more common forms.

Besides Smoker also has his Jutte, and he could hold his own with that thing just fine.

Haki is nice, but it doesn't make you a super sayian.

Does Smoker still have his Jutte?
