We as people laugh and we cry
There's no limit to either backing emotion
We smile and then we die
But here's the best/wprst part of that notion
That's all we can do in the end
Death smiles upon all of us my friend

All we can do is smile
Smile at every happy thought
Smile through our anger no matter how vile
Smile through the tears When happiness cant be bought
Death smiles at us all
And all you can do is smile back at that eternal wall

It's stated in many a great speech
That you should live and let die
But sometimes peace of mind is just out of reach
And you're not sure whether to laugh or cry
But you have to move on they say
Or your life will begin to whither away

So smile through the sadness & sorrow
Smile through what happiness you're given
Smile through till tomorrow
And remember to tell people they're forgiven
Because forgiving does not mean forgetting
And their own guilt is not going to be up letting

We laugh to the day we die
That's how it's suppose to be
Even as we die every moment we cry
Sometimes the smile is not easy to see
But it's there if you choose to show it
If you do your friends and enemies will well know it

Dislike it. Should have put your driving point at the end (Death smiles at us all). A poem is used to indirectly lead the reader to that point so putting it in the beginning isn't a good idea imo. Also, you repeated too much (probably because you had nothing else to say as you had already stated ur point)

If rearranged, this would be great.

I had plenty to say, but I prefer to keep it simple, so people can somewhat understand what I'm saying. I meant to put the driving point in there again, but I don't always. I literally just let it flow. Meaning if it comes back around, then it's there, if it doesn't.. Oh well.

If you wrote that word for word.. Wow.
I wrote it word for word.. listening to this;

oh, this is actually nice. reminded me of SMILE by Charlie Chaplin.

here's a small part of it:

Smile though your heart is aching,
Smile even though it's breaking,
When there are clouds in the sky,
You'll get by,
If you smile through your pain and sorrow,
Smile though it may be tomorrow,
You'll see the sun come shining through, for you,
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness,
Although a tear may be ever so near,
That's the time you must keep on trying,...

this was what i first thought when i read ur poem and u did a smashing job as always :ice:
