What a pointless thing to do. It didn't even have any effect on Madara. It's like Kishi just wanted to give Minato Sage Mode for the hell of it since he is on his way out. This chapter really irks me and that rarely happens. In fact everytime I get irked by a chapter it usually involves Minato suddenly possessing one of Naruto's exclusive abilities.

What's next? Is he going to toss a Futon Rasenshuriken now?

You put your name and in time you learn SM. Minato had his name there because he, in time, acquired SM.

most likely he already had theory from toads and edo tensei chakra enabled him to harness nature energy.

Edo tensei enables u to never run out of chakra, but your chakra pool stays the same. Also Minato didn't even have to remain still to absorb the nature energy it was instant, and absorbing NE isn't a feat you could pull off with out prior experience and know how.

That Minato felt like his era was over and he wanted Naruto to be the one to save the day this time, so he held back from what could have been a victory. In fact, he probably wanted his son to be recognized as Hokage. Yep, this is definitely going to be the reasoning we get now that I think about it...

that happened one on one minato had help from two other people, ftg and sage mode with that he manage to get him self messed up and his body/attack was turned on his help at least sasuke didn't other epople messed up with so i think minato failed harder...the reason minato isn't dead is because he's edo tensi

Okay when minato was fighting obito he didnt use sage mode right?? Why because he's a jinchuurki of kurama or maybe he couldn't for being a jinchuurki of kyuubi but however after the kyuubi was stolen form minato he used sage mode as if he can use it without kurama meaning kurama has something to do with sage mode for those who are saying it's an asspull wait till the manga finishes maybe kishi will explain it better
