do you not know why he resorted to sealing kurama into naruto instead of killing it? he did so that his son could attempt to use it for future fights granted things aint going according to plan but what ya'know minato aint no psychic also he did it so the bijuu balance would not be disturbed thats why he didnt use sage mode, he beat tobi in their fight and then proceeded to seal the nine tails which also in turn hold konohas power as jinchuuriki are kind of a big deal

Minato No Surprise at all

There is no plot hole Naruto surpased both Jiriya and minato in using it. Minato obviously couldn't use both Sage mode and biju mode at the same time unlike Naruto hence he had to use what was available to him in the obito fight. Naruto on the other hand can switch to either and even combine them. Minato has far less chackra naturally than Naruto so its always a risk using sage mode thats why 16years ago he did not risk using it against obito and why he didn't need it, the only thing that mattered in that fight was speed and he had it. Its obvious that Minato had sage mode why all the surprise?

You've just crossed the line from legitimate point to incorrect assumption. Minato beat Obito without senjutsu, so he didn't need it. Plus, it would have made an opening for Tobi to attack. Regardless of senjutsu, Kushina was gonna die. Therefore, it's not an a-pull in the sense that he needed it in the past but just showed it now.


Now, is it an a-pull? Maybe since it was strongly implied that Minato could only do support for Naruto.

Now, it could be that he's less skilled than Naruto in senjutsu which is why he couldn't perfectly balance senjutsu with Kurama who's a huge mass of chakra.

However, it does make sense that he would have senjutsu considering he was Jiraya's student and had a contract with the toads. No wounder why Jiraya called Minato a prodigy. He surpassed him senjutsu as well.


So it makes sense that Minato has senjutsu, but it doesn't make sense that he didn't use it against jinchuriki Obito. So it's more of a pothole than a-pull. Before I saw your thread, I was about to make one saying "Minato having senjutu is both awesome and stupid."

During the fight with Pain when Fukasaku stated that Naruto has surpassed both Jiraiya and Minato in terms of Sage Mode.

They turn the blind eye that kishi had to give him BM and SM on top of overwanked FTG to look presentable among top 10.

kushina was good as dead so minato made do with what was presented sage mode would not have helped, seeing how he was planning to use a life sacrificing sealing jutsu to seal kurama. minato chose not to be selfish and think about his own family as hokage he sacrificed his familys future for the greater good which is expected of a hokage

could kushina have been saved by resealing the fox inside her possibly but did minato know about that no seeing how it never came up
