Small Question: Gaining Mangekyou From Relative(s)

Let's say a random Uchiha has the Mangekyou Sharingan and wants the Eternal Mangekyou, but doesn't have a brother to steal a pair of eyes from. The father also has Mangekyou, if the son steals the father's Mangekyou, will he be able to achieve Eternal Mangekyou? This is just a small don't troll/flame me for it, just being curious.

I dont think it was ever said you need your brothers eyes just a fellow clansmen's correct me if im wrong though.

Yes he would be able to gain EMS.
As long as they are closely blood related than yes.

i think it being a brother just increases the compatibility of the eyes, but probably not required
