[Discussion] Sleep paralysis?

Have you guys ever experienced it or know someone that has? If so do you think it's a demonic thing or a psychological thing?


I don't really know the answer but what i find really weird is this:

There are many stories of sleep paralysis where someone is having it and their dog is laying near or on their bed and as soon as the the experience is happening the dog starts barking, even when it stops the dog starts whimpering and howling when the owner says nothing.


Another thing I have read is that there are stories of sleep paralysis from 5 and 6 year old children that are raised in a family where they do not see scary movies,videos,pictures and are living healthy and their age limits their imagination or how well they imagine things but in the stories they describe these things they see very realistically as if it was a real thing. If it was a psychological thing it makes no sense since they have nothing to base these things they see on.

There are scientists that suggest that sleep paralysis is purely biological and nothing supernatural happens. But from what I've experienced, I don't believe that at all. I saw a woman that was speaking in dutch lying on my bed when I turned my head many years ago when we were on a vacation in an Island in another County. I couldn't move but I was wide awake and my dog was barking like crazy.

I saw a woman that was speaking in dutch lying on my bed when I turned my head many years ago when we were on a vacation in an Island in another County. I couldn't move but I was wide awake and my dog was barking like crazy.

Same exact experience with the dog barking, except mine was a dark shadow that was sitting on my chest speaking in a language I do not know but for some reason could understand. It was horrifying.

It's kind of a cross between a psychiatric thing and a spiritual, from my experience.

For psychiatric, you can experience an intense after-shock when awoken, you can't move you body parts (arms, legs, etc.), only your eyes, and it can transition into lucid dreaming if experienced.

But, it can also be a spiritual thing because you may experience MANY instances of "paranormal activity", it doesn't always happen, but can.

TBH, it's a very interesting experience because you feel things that seem familiar, but you can also feel things so new to you that it may make you do it again. There really is no explanation for it, but if you enjoy it then try and focus on mastering it.

That's what I said. I know this doesn't really prove anything but I asked my mother if she has ever had it but she said she never has. It dosn't prove the bioligcal theory wrong but it is still LITTLE amount of evidence that it may not be biological. I have had it 3 times, the first time I didn't see anything I just couldn't move and I felt pain in my left leg, the second time I saw a man looking out of my window but it was comforting for some reason but not scary the third time I saw a woman staring at me from behind my cupboard.

It's 00:07 uk right now. I am going to go to bed in an hour and so and last night i was looking at sleep paralysis stories and fell asleep at 6 because I was so scared

My friend messaged me today and told me he couldn't sleep well either, today may be the same thing... someone tell me I am not going to be the only one scared to sleep tonight... :c
