Alright we've mentioned the releasing of genjutsu and we've mentioned the Kai technique which is the basic tool from releasing from genjutsu. Now we're going to learn the actual technique.

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

After doing one hand seal you disturb your chakra flow by forcefuly spiking you spiritual energy which unbalances your chakra. It dispels genjutsu techniques set upon you with the exception of MS Eye TEchniques, Paralysis Illusions and the Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation chant. The effectiveness depends on the rank of the user. It can also be used on others through physical contact. It is used once per turn and you need to first deduct why it was an illusion before you can use kai. Now tell me it's drawbacks and advantages over other methods of genjutsu release. At least three of each

Finally, Kai release. Ok, as you mentioned Kai is a techniques done with one handseal which forces the chakra of the user to stop, and the spiritual energy to pop out with a lot of strength and sharpness. It can cancel out every genjutsu put on the user depending on the rank of him, but Kai can't work against MS genjutsu, immobilization genjutsu, and that genjutsu used by Fukasaku and shima. This skill also can only work when the user has explained into detail why he is in genjutsu, so he must realise through that logical assumption or that small gamble, that he is in genjutsu. Once he has fully realised that, Kai can be used after that with no problem at all.

Advantages are the facts that once you learn this skill, you have no need to hurt yourself to snap out of the genjutsu. With a simple handseal you can cancel the genjutsu very efficiently and make a direct counterattack to that. Another advantage is that this genjutsu can be a life saviour for your comrades considering they will be put in genjutsu sometime. Another advantage is that with this skill, you can efficiently release double genjutsu as well, and only focus on dispelling the stronger one, so both will be released at the same time.

Disadvantages are the facts that this skill, needs a hand movement, you need to after all make a seal. Once you can't actually move, this skill is pretty much worthless and you have to either beg friends to save you, or you go back to hurting yourself, via lightning surges across the body. Another disadvantage is that this skill is that you can't use this all the time. When you are not fully sure of being in genjutsu, or you can't really separate reality from illusion, you will end up having this genjutsu as a burden so you will once again die.

Can you summarize to me what you learned thus far?
Basically I learned all of the D rank Genjutsu, including the first one of the C ranks which is Kai release.

The D rank genjutsu techniques seemed very simple in general and able to trick only the sight of the opponent and not the other senses making them very weak and not really useful in battle against people which are adept with the path of illusionary arts.

While Kai is the first one of the C ranks which is supposed to be able to stop the flow of physical energy while poking out the spiritual energy, allowing the chakra flow to stop for a little while and the Genjutu casted upon you do be nullified, but it needs one handseal, so for Genjutsu techs that restrict you, you need to find another solution.

Except Kai as a method which you mentioned, what would you do in situation where your movement is actually hindered because of genjutsu cast upon you?
For techniques which restrict you and you can't use handseals, after you have deduced that you are in a genjutsu, the only which could save you, are full body surges one of which can be Chidori Nagashi, and the other one is releasing chakra in a burst from your body, which could basically be Hardening technique, which could be the opening of gates, or the activation of the Curse Mark seal. And there is even sth else you could do, which is basically, try absorbing Natural energy if you have mastered the Sage mode. In this way, it would be foreign chakra entering the user's body which will snap the genjutsu out.

Nice job Six Paths, let's continue on. Right so, I'd like you to do same thing you did when you were training with Cobalt. Pretty much say anything you see interesting and worth saying about the technique. However I'd also like to know in which way you would release if such genjutsu was placed upon you. I don't mean method of release as in Kai, Pain, Body surger but rather how would you know that you are under genjutsu.

Hurr, Durr. A weird jutsu. Eh, not that useful but well I guess it can buy you some time so to say, opponent would be made to believe that they are travelling in a straight line whilst they would really just be moving in circles. It can only be used on a target who is already moving.

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

So yeah, basically a C ranked Genjutsu which could basically be used in a moving opponent and it will trick the sense of perception and movement, because as you think you are moving straight ahead in the Genjutsu, in the real world you will be running in circles, Usages are of course on moving opponents who are running towards you for a direct attack. Or another perfect usage might be stopping the enemy into going somewhere, for example, to an important meeting, you simply cast this genjutsu on them, and they will never approach that part...of course, if they are lacking a normal human Brain.

Weaknesses is that this technique, will be amazingly easy to deduce. There is no way, that someone will keep running for hours, without even coming closer to the location they want to achieve. Another one is the other sense, yes, you will see that you are moving constantly forward, but you will not be hearing everything in the same pace, if you are infinitely moving forward, So this jutsu will only give you enough time till the opponent realizes either of that. And with very skilled shinobi the time will be so low, it is pretty much useless, to user this jutsu in the first place.

Strengths to this technique is that you are able to win time at least enough time to throw a kunai towards the enemy which could probably be lethal in this case. Another good point of this technique would be the fact that you will stop advancement and try to exhaust the enemy, so you could either kidnap him, or make him vanish for a little while. This jutsu could even give you enough time to retreat from a very sticky situation.

Alright, the way how I would deduce the technique, is basically look at the target I am aproaching, if I see that I am not getting cloer to him, after making a very strong dash in the ground, I will simply stop running and make the handseal for the Kai release. Another very good way to deduce it is relying on your hearing, if you don't approach him for quite a while and you will constantly hear the same thing...Genjutsu Alert!!!

Don't think sound will have much z.z effects on it as you would be going in circles in quite small area. However good.

Hurr Durr. This next technique doesn't really have much use but well it is on canon list. Pretty much when your opponent is stationary you can cast this genjutsu with some kind of physical contact convincing the enemy to give you information. Keep in mind that this won't work unless the ninja you are using this on is two ranks lower then you.

( Genjutsu: Jinmon ) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: The user of this technique, upon casting on a stationary opponent with physical contact with them, is able to convince the enemy to give away information. However, this will only work on ninja two ranks lower and below than the caster.

So another C ranked Genjutsu, whose basic goal is to make the enemy give information to you? Alright this skill is confusing as from as genjutsu goes in general. What I was able to understand from this skill, it means that you are manipulating the opponents will and choices, something that Genjutsu isn't able to do. With Gen you can change up the way they perceive things and mess up with their senses, but not flat out make them do something. But still...I have no choice so I will give my insights to it.

Usages are of course with people that you need to valuable, not kill but need info for various things. These things might include everything, from personal info..to information about villages and so you can deduce plans and strategies to attack someone.

Weaknesses are obvious that you need to be in a close range. Another one is that you need to touch your enemy, which will be pretty hard to do, if you never met him before, or if you are in a battle all in all. And the weakness which is most definitely the largest one is that you need to fight a very specific group of people, so in my case they are Sannin and below, and just like you can't choose your family, you can't choose your enemies either.

Strengths might be the fact that you can use this skill positively, like you can honestly, gain any info you want, from any village at all, just by touching him. and this info might include, village troubles, weaknesses, weapons or treasures he might have, absolutely everything. But as it can be much, I doubt I will ever use it.

I don't really need to know something about this Genjutsu counter, but I doubt there is a counter in first place, and if someone ever uses it on me. Well it won't work, I am only one rank lower to the maximum one, so that will be a total no go for anyone.

Oh, nice.

Now this next technique is pretty used in our RP.<.<'' Now the user of the technique will cast illusion onto opponent where he will see a huge ball of fire hovering towards him from the sky as to envelop him. It's pretty basic and also just effects vision of opponent.

( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

Alright, so another C ranked Genjutsu which will make the enemy see that a fireball is coming from up, directly down above him. So i guess usages must be simple, you use this skill, in order to take their attention and fool them that they need to dodge or block something above them, while in reality you could be attacking them from forward with a simple Kunai. Another very good usage might be if the enemy is about to use an offensive technique, or if he is going back, it could be a way to stop him from running or performing handseals, due to the imminent Danger.

Weaknesses to thius skills are very well understandable, even though you can see the fireballs, true shinobi will rely on other senses as well, being able not to either hear, or feel the least amount of heat from the fireball if he is close by, will give you enough proof that you are in illusion. And if you are a sensory ninja, you could very well be able feel no chakra incoming from the fireball, so this will e a weak showcase to the ability in the first place.

Strengths, are the fact that you can trick the enemy into thinking an attack is coming above, while you actually are attacking him from any of the sides, in a 360 degree manner and the chance for him to dodge that kind of attack will be low. Another good advantage this skill has, is that it might be able to mask other attacks coming from up, which will be used by the enemy not in a good way. When they see a fireball, you just throw a boulder, so even if they use water, the water will not break the rock correctly and they will be smashed.

How I would deduce it would be, relying on my other senses. The fireball will have a very distinctive sound to it, and if I can;t hear it, I will directly know, I am in an illusion.

One more thing that I'd keep in mind is that the way fire jutsus are usually formed. You can't just make fire appear in front of you. You usually either release it from your mouth/limbs and so forth or by firstly focusing katon chakra into the ground after which you'll release it in form of fire. Nonethless awesome job u-u

Now this next technique is last technique of C ranks when it comes to genjutsu. Ok you will place your opponent under genjutsu where he will see you forming a illusionary clone that will charge towards him then jump and explode in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which will hinder his vision.

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

Alright, The last of C rank Genjutsu, is one which will create a clone and have him run to the enemy and explode, so usages are right there, rendering the enemies vision useless, so that you can charge a full frontal attack without hoping him to be able to counter. And another usage might eb giving you enough time to retreat if you are in a sticky position with only one enemy. So in this way, it will give you enough time to get away.

Weaknesses to this jutsu though is that fact that if the enemy will observe clearly, he will see that a clone appeared without making any handseals, without making the signature smoke, without making the normal shadow clone smoke cloud sound and just for starters, if he is well taught in the art of ninjutsu, he will realize that a jutsu like that doesn't particularly work. Another one might be if he throws weapon to the clone, he will see him pass right through it, which is impossible...Well somewhat impossible...*looks at Obito*

Strengths though are that this skill, will give you a wide opening to follow, directly after the clone will be exploding, another one would be that it will even give you an opening to be able to run away if you are in a sticky situation. But there are of course tons more, you can use it to render the vision useless, and hit him from behind, up, or even go right past him, if eh is guarding anything.

The way how I would deduce this Genjutsu, is that you will be able to make out from, the clone appearing without handseals, no smoke, no smoke sound, no noises of the clones footsteps, complete intangibility of the clone, and the fact that a clone can explode in cherry blossoms is impossible itself.

u_u Brilliance.

Now this is like advance version of D ranked jutsu False Surroundings Technique. Now by performing a sequence of 3 hand seals you will be able to place your target under a double layered genjutus. Now similar to the D ranked version, both genjutsus will be connected with changes to the terrain. Now if he was to manage and release from the first one he will then find himself in the second illusion. Ok, except telling me about this illusion as per usual can you also tell me something about release from double layered genjutsus?

(Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu) Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique
Type: Supplmentary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals, putting his opponents under a double layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.

Alright, so this is more like an advanced form of the false surroundings. So I guess, it will have the same usages as it. You can use it in an environment which is pretty much life threatening environment into something more appealing like a field full of flowers, which are extremely safe in most cases. Another usage might be hiding an attack you launched at the opponent with something totally simple, tricking his vision into believing nothing is happening until they die from the attack in the first place.

Weaknesses though is the same as the first one, and it is the fact that, despite their vision being tricked, the other senses like the hearing, the smell, the normal feel of the skin, the air the feet will tell you another story. They will not change at all so drastically just like your vision changed so you can be sure that you are place in an illusion which you must take care of. And one more thing is that you would now appear in another environment, cause of the second layer, and in this one, you just see if you returned to your original location, if you haven't, you find another method to break out, like biting your finger.

Strengths of this skill will be though a boosted version of the original D rank one. You can still do everything just as before, be in a cliff and make him think you are close to a field, so you can simply give him a push. Another very important strength is though that most people, directly after countering this skill once they will go directly for the attack, but they still didn't return to their original battlefield, and if they don't notice this, you will be having a bad time.

So yeah, double layered Genjutsu, are Genjutsu which are created, by mixing 2 Genjutsu into the enemy, making the effect of the Genjutsu even more devastating. In this way, you can mix 2 illusions, which do not conflict one another into one, to create a stronger illusion, or to fix the weaknesses of the previous Genjutsu, like fill in more detail or whatsoever. You can mix,2 Genjutsu of the same rank, and it will result, in the birth of a Same ranked Genjutsu, but more detailed and it will be harder to deduce. Once deducted though, this will be pretty easy to directly counter one, as it will counter the other one as well. Using one Genjutsu of a weaker rank, before than one with a higher rank, will result in the effect of the weaker rank to be lost, if used in the other way, both of them will be displayed. To counter it, simply counter the highest rank Genjutsu, and you will counter them both.

I appologize for this late reply... Busy <.<'' Anyhow nice.

For this next technique you will need to use the sword. Now by waving your sword back and forth you will place your opponent under a genjutsu. What he will see in this illusion is multiple waving arms which movement resembles a willow tree blowing in the wind.

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

Alright, a B ranked Genjutsu which will have the enemy think that there are a multiple of arms which are rotating their place as they pop up out of nowhere. and they started rotating. So usages are basically, confuse the enemy with something they cannot understand at all. This might give you enough time to be able to do something. Another usage might even be taking attention of the enemy and not pay it towards and attack your comrade might be giving him from behind. So this could be a nice usage for sure.

Weaknesses of this skill are obvious I think. If the enemy will be smart at all, he will realize that the hands are early similar, so this can't be puppets moving like that, plus, he could try throwing a rock or an attack towards either of the hands and see it go right through, this genjutsu is easy to deduce. Another one might be the other senses telling him that nothing is moving other then one hand, and the sounds of nothing being repelled on the hands or blade. You see as you move the blade wind would generate, so if there isn't any heard or felt, it is a genjutsu.

Strengths, are that fact that the genjutsu needs no handseals to be casted on the enemy as you just need one hand movement which you just repeat all over. Another one is that this skill could easily take the attention of his enemy till you can launch an attack from behind, below, up or sideways. So you can do various things with it.

I would deduce this Genjutsu by simply looking at the movements of the hands and with the fact that creating various hands all around is impossible to begin with, unless you create a bunch of clones and send them to another dimension which would still end up having not all the hand moves so identical.

Actually this next jutsu although it requires a sequence of uite a few hand seals, four to be exact can be useful. After performing the seals you will trigger the illusion where your opponent see you disappear whilst several bean vines grow from th ground around and beneath him. These vines will both bind the target as well lift them into the air. As that happened, a bean pod would arise from the ground from which user of the technique will show as to strike the target. Now the thing with this genjutsu is that you can use it as per your advantage. First thing first, don't forget that wood is weak to lighting, this being said, keeping in mind that your opponent might send lighting attack as to defend from the wood, you can use a suiton based jutsu and use his lighting against him.

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an illusion where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground around and beneath him. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

A B ranked Genjutsu which will trick your opponent that you have disappeared. Then Bean Vines will spot from the earth, lift the target into the air, and then you will appeared from below inside a lotus and attack the target, while in the real world, he will be left paralyzed. So I guess usages would be in the beginning of the battle or close to a forest. In this way the enemy will be restricted directly and he will think that you might have used the forest around him, using the wood of the forest all around. Another usage would be in cases the enemy is trying to use a technique so you will be restricting him not allowing him to weave seals or use a skill while placing it him in genjutsu.

Weaknesses would be pretty obvious to this one, it would be the fact that only a small number of people would be able to use wood release, and if you try to use it against someone which is knowledgeable he will deduce it. Another one would be the fact that Bead vines, are usually very tiny and thin. And having them appear and being able to lift a heavy shinobi, is kinda confusing and might have people doubt. And another would be the fact that the human has a higher number than 5 senses. And if a person, can't feel the attitude change, or the force of upwards acceleration and than the sudden stop in acceleration, it will allow you to deduce it.

Strengths to this skill are that it will be able to manipulate the 5 basic sense's and if those are not tricked, you usually fail to really realize it is a genjutsu, another one would be a weird one, which are the handseals. The enemy will actually think that you are using a wood technique, while you are actually using a genjutsu. Another strength would be using it into collaboration with other skills which most useful would be wood skills if you own a wood bio :).

How I would realize it, or deduce it would be 2 thing. One of them would be the fact how very thin Bean vines can lift you up, and another one would be the other senses, like the ones of attitude change and sudden acceleration change which are not said to be affected by this skill.
