[Question] Simple Question

I have a simple question about the like/dislike system. Is it the same as giving and negging rep? Do it help your rep if someone likes your post? I ask because I'm kinda lazy when it comes to rep as I don't really see the need to add any little extra comments as well.

like and dislike don't effect your rep power, it's just there for the show tbh.
