Am I the only one who can't seem to enjoy adventure games anymore? I've tried countless of games such as
TLOU: as much as I loved the story, playing it felt like suicide
Dying Light: repetitive, the night gave me some sort of rush but apart of that still horrible imo
Witcher 3: literally dropped the game after the third mission

Gaming used to be a spare time killer but now rather moneywaste.

I know right, i feel the same way. The only games that i can play now is multiplayers.
I can't follow stories in video games anymore, i just get absolutely bored. Now a days i just rather watch people play a game and livestream it through twitch than play it myself. It's weird...

It's kinda repetitive, and if you don't have friends to play with, it's very boring.

Yeah that happens at some point to almost everyone. I played the Witcher and Fallout to death and now I feel kinda burned for these types of games, so I either play Halo mp or some FIFA.
Try a different genre, with less emphasis on story and being more straightforward, works for me.

Well I haven't been able to enjoy a "non-adventure" game for the past 1 to 2 years. I still play multiplayer games now and then which happen to give more enjoyment.

Not really I like adventure games :)

Never had an issue with it but I had some time when I really couldn't bring myself to be gaming so I had a period of 2 months without touching a game :/

Hm, I kinda feel the same way.
I still like playing video-games, but because I didn't have a good computer the last few years, I couldn't really play anything and changed. So I started to watch other people play, called "Let's Play".. so I still could enjoy the story. And now I'm affraid that I don't have much fun anymore, when I start playing again, as soon as my new computer arrives.

Also, my friends don't play videogames (at least not the ones that I like), so I'll have to play alone, even in multiplayer :/

You dropped The Witcher 3 after the third mission? Lol... don't even know what to say to that.

Anyway, I disagree almost entirely (though I can understand how the current atmosphere of AAA games being dished out by large companies can affect the average gamer), but to each his own.

Now and than few buds and I play a PES tournament. Other than that I've completely fcked of game-playing; it's a complete waste of time. Last thing I played was LoL like a year ago. My PC is at my parents house (hometown), and I got rid of my consoles years ago.

Name 1 game that isnt "kinda" repetitive ....

In ark you can , build (bases, boat) , tame 100 different dinos (always expending) , explore (on foot ,ocean floor, caves), pvp , trade , craft , etc etc .

Every game is repetitive due to its core gameplay but Ark, being a survival sandbox game, its way more repetitive than other games. You build, gather resources, fight, tame beasts, die and repeat the whole process.

These games are the least repetitive i can name because its core gameplay changes while the story progresses.

Heavy Rain
The Walking Dead
Skyrim haves a lot of randomness, modded skyrim even better.
