shunshin no jutsu

hey i was wondering it says that the shunishin no jutsu is a genin level technique but why is it that no genin or many chunin use it, because it seems really useful

ok yeah but still if its so easy why dont more people use it i think it would be really benificial in combat or anything like that

its mostly just used when you want the character to leave the scene instantly like jiraiya poofing away from kakashi cuz he had something else to do, or substitution which is close to body flicker is used to avoid something you couldn't otherwise (sakura spammed it vs a sound genin, in the anime sasuke escaped kakashi's wire with it) so some use it but not often or it'd be unexciting and feel like noones in danger

For example, Sasuke used it to "kill" Tobi ... why he has not used that speed the whole fight against Deidara ? The same for Itachi ... they used body flicker at start but when he had to escape amaterasu he was just running like chicken ...

I am sure many use it but its based on the preference of the user. LIke all ninjutsu, some are not adept at using it on a continual basis while some are natural spammers. It's all about the strategy you are accustomed to using and what your limits are. Besides I bet some ninjas forget what they learn in academy school.
