Pain in episode 149 gave the lives back of everyone he killed.

I believe that it has to be done within a certain time span, and also within a certain range. Jiriya's body is probably too far away and it's probably been too long since he was killed.

No, because Pein himself stated that there is a fixed amount of time during which he can revive the dead. I dont remember how did Jiraya die, He was killed in Peins village but his body appeared in Myobokuzan in some kind of water or lake I dont know?
Regretably it is impossible. Jiraya would defeat Sasuke and take Tsunade's place.
To be honest I miss Jiraya very much and I would really like to see him alive, or at least to expirience Jiraya Gaiden. Curtain's closed.

J-man coming back is bad for the story. J-man needed to die in order for Naruto to mature. J-man was the only true father figure Naruto had, out of all the adults besides Kakashi he was closer to him. His death forced Naruto to grow up, the Naruto we see now is on a whole other level than before j-man's death. He needs a drive that reinforces his belief of peace, with J-man, Nagato, and Yahiko who died for peace, being that drive.
