First off. This flat out isn't true. Nothing Bars the uchiha from becoming the hokage, if that's what you mean. If you mean just a position of power in general you're still incorrect. They had the police force, which is a position of power.

The Elders at some point knew the Uchiha weren't behind the attack. Why? Shisui and Itachi never reported the Uchiha being behind it. Shisui unlike Itachi had actually been attending the meetings, and he would have known that the were behind an attack in the past because it would have been brought up in the future. Second, why would the Uchiha offer to fight against the Nine-Tails in an attack they orchestrated? That's just lunacy.

Now why would they find it likely that the Uchiha were behind the attack? Read the scan I just posted, Konoha had been keeping the clan away and was discriminating against them. The Uchiha were a ticking time bomb and the village merely suspected that their bullshit was biting them in the ass now.

Here is the difference between the Uchiha situation and the black person situation (and this is coming from a black guy):

Unlike the Uchiha clan, black people are still alive. Furthermore, unlike Tobirama, Hiruzen, Danzou, and the rest of Hiruzen's cabinet, members of the KKK and confederate supporters are still alive (maybe not the ones from the 1700s/1800s, but modern day supporters are still around).

Therefore, talking about racism, slavery and things of the like would actually accomplish things such as saving millions of innocent black lives (and other minority lives) and punishing the evil forces of racist people such as the modern day KKK.

Meanwhile, who would revealing the truth about the Uchiha save? Nobody!
Who would it punish? Answer: Everybody except for those who were actually responsible for the Uchiha's persecution and ultimate demise!

Would Danzou actually be punished or suffer anything? No! He wouldn't suffer jack since he is already long dead!

You make alot of good points. However, I think you fail to put yourself in certain people's shoes. Imagine that you are Naruto in this scenario that I am about to propose. Here's the scenario:


Congratulations! You just became hokage! You go to your new office and you receive the list of tasks that need to be taken care of. Here is the list:

1. Aliens are threatening to invade the planet and suck it dry of chakara.

2. A little orphan girl is making people go insane while sucking their chakara, so that she can unleash a monster and blow up the village.

3. A crazy man is creating and enslaving little boys and using them as soldiers to revive akautski and rekindle war.

4. A band of thieves led by a fat cannibal is on the loose, and they are trying to get all the heinous criminals released from Hozuki prison.

Now, as hokage what do you do? Do you...

A. Focus on the aliens, the orphan girl, the crazy man, and the cannibal/thief gang
B. Reflect about the past, and look for a way to wreck your village for something that nobody currently alive had any involvement in

Not everything is worthy of publicity. The village would be divided in the opinion if they find out even if they are sympathetic to Sasuke. For many won't like the idea of civil war. Itachi saved Sasuke from NB like arguments and judgements regarding his family in his 'real manga-life'. He left Sasuke with zero burden in that regard carrying the baggage himself. Shisui was never a double agent, nor reported to the elders, in fact danzo openly distrusted him. If you have scans that say otherwise please provide it. The uchiha never offered to help fight the nine tails. There were never there during the entire attack.


Why? simple, only the uchiha have the power to control kurama. Hashirama is the second person that can do it but he's dead. They're the only suspects, and it checks out. Obito uchiha did it.
