NICE we got beef and shrimp, those are my favorites... look at it like this, sasuke is naruto's best friend, the first person who ever actually acknowledged him, the first person who risked their life to save him on more than one circumstance. also sasuke was the only person who pushed naruto to where he is today, plus their friendship held a greater bond than any of naruto's current friends hold with naruto today... naruto admitted to sasuke he meant more to him than a friend, he told sasuke that he is like a brother to him. a bond like that is worth fighting to preserve. if i had a best friend and they did the same things as sasuke, id continue to try to save him.
there may be better people out there, but a brotherly friendship is a greater bond than just makeing a new friend. (Nickle back-if today was your last day)"whats worth the price is always worth the fight"
(i dont know who im quoting but idc) "the things that come hardest in life always mean the most" <- which in example of this would be that naruto and sasuke's friendship/bond came at alot of work.

Naruto-sasuke....sasuke-Naruto, they are one and the same. remove the other, then this manga isn't complete anymore. the cycle of life is pictured by this two great characters. they are the yin and the yang of Naruto mangaworld.
Naruto will keep on fighting even towards the end of hell he will come after sasuke and bring him back .... that is just his "way of ninja". Naruto does not take back whatever he promised he believes truly in himself he can do... because he can.
Naruto has that mysterious power ... and sasuke will realize that. Naruto could even give his life for sasuke...
but guess what guys?....sasuke won't take it...because aside from sasuke being a good guy, he just can't... sasuke will see to himself that killing Naruto is not the "true" uchiha way" --- beating Naruto is.... but not killing him.
for all we know...harashima did not really kill madara...that is why madara lives...harashima beat madara...and madara wants to return the favor... and he sees that with a sasuke-Naruto clash.
...that is the "will of fire" hiruzen sarutobi "upheld". now guys...come see me in my will of fire statue hehe....

well said, i like the theory about hirashima alot, its very possible thats the way it wnet down. especially becuase they were once friends and suffered the problems that naruto and sasuke face with their friendship. if thats the case i hope madara repays the favor to naruto and sasuke if they do become friends. hopefully he wont kill either if they become friends ... hell even if they dont i hope they dont die.

adding this to my earlier post above, sasuke also helped naruto out multiple times such as when he was falling off a tree when they learned to use chakra to walk on trees, sasuke grabbed narutos foot rather than just letting him fall as he could have done. also sasuke was there when naruto still needed to train and kept around to make sure naruto didnt get hurt. sasuke also continued to train with naruto until naruto was satisfied (when they were learning to control chakra, sasuke could have returned to kakashi and sakura to eat dinner, but instead he stayed and trained with naruto and went back to eat together when they had finished.
sasuke tryed to save naruto after he found out itachi was spotted and was going to capture naruto, he rushed to naruto immediatly to try to save him from being captured(the whole time he was going to where naruto was he kept saying "ive gotta hurry, im not going to let itachi take naruto... iv got to save him" (something along those lines)
this just adds to what i posted before about sasuke being a good friend to naruto.... its messed up how things worked out until now, but naruto shouldnt give up on trying to change sasuke back. its a slow but winning battle, each time they meet it gets easier from them both to describe how they feel. it'll definetly reach the point where they become friends soon, we just have to be patient.... and for me thats pretty hard to be patient over. they are both talented fighters, and work better as a team.... i believe without their teamwork, madara will defeat either of them alone, but together they will prevail! (hopefully without either deing:|

You guys understand this Naruto story line, the writer wants a Hero, Naruto. He needs a Villain Sasuke. A girl in between Sakura, I saw it in Wiki, so i know the end will be Naruto Killing sasuke, and living with the guilt. Madara and others are just side-liners.
that may be what happens, they may not be what happens. we'll never know for sure until the anime comes to an end. we all know kishi likes to be unpredictable. so i really doubt he would go with the obvious plot point of sasuke dieing... naruto has been trying to save sasuke from the darkness that he allowed to fill his heart. id like to remind you also that sasuke isnt the same as madara and he will not follow in his footsteps to persue a never ending hate cycle. sasuke is at the very brink of darkness and as naruto is well aware of that sasuke can still be reached by the light. even pain said to naruto that he must first understand the pain another is suffering before he can make an understanding with that person, i beileve that what pain said is true, and i further more believe naruto understands true pain now. so that means that he and sasuke can finally now understand eachother and slowly work this out. sasuke and naruto will either both die or both live and become friends again. i believe that they'll both die instead. if anyone has played zelda orcanari of time, i think the ending to this anime will be like that, naruto and sasuke will both defeat madara and think he is dead, but hen he will end up surprising them and get back up and try to kill them.

to add a lil bit more (though i posted this already), during Naruto-sasuke face off in the death valley, Naruto "scratched" sasuke's forehead protector - a sign that Naruto could do more than touch or wound or harm or kill sasuke then. but Naruto did not. he absorbed sasuke's power leaving him unconcious.
and sasuke, having the greatest of chances could have finished Naruto afterwards....sasuke did not. because he should do that to a friend...sasuke walked away still carrying the thought "Naruto is really more powerful than i am"..."how much powerful can Naruto get?"... i must catch up....
I agree aswell on this too, sasuke didnt kill him that day to test himself, and also to not break their bond. sasuke probably knew that naruto wasnt trying to kill him regardless of how far the battle went, and when he finally had his chance to end the bond permently he walked away and spared his best friend. him and naruto truly have a bond thats still active, if you remember when sasuke had left naruto unconcious and left the final valley he and naruto both synced/were linked to eachother, both had known that the other was alright, and the way sasuke was looking it seemed like it relieved him.
Isn't Naruto after Sasuke for Itachi's sake now ? Where as before it was for Sakura and that three year long promise, but in time he forgot about the promise but he was still keeping it and was just going after Sasuke with no real reason. Maybe it's a habit/ second nature now? Probably needs something to keep him motivated, that Hokage goal of his isn't what is spurring him on to do better, he got over that when he made some friends.

his purpose was always just to save his best friend, sakura asked him to bring him back, and itachi hopes naruto will spare sasuke but he really has nothing to worry about. naruto's dream of hokage comes second to his goal of saving sasuke.
