Should Kishimoto make Naruto verse a multiverse?

If Kishimoto really did state that those upcoming epilogue novels are canon. Would it resolve the plot inconsistency if he just said it's an alternate reality?

I ask this because Kakashi's novel seems to canonize the Blood prison Movie.
