Should i bring my desktop to college?

Buy a cheap laptop and bring your rig once you get a place of your own or arr in a fraternity. Otherwise even the best of friends become your worst enemy. ;3

very true. thats why i am somewhat apposed to bring my rig, it might annoy my roommate, and if people are getting noisy, i cant move.

hopefully my parents will allow me to buy a laptop.

i see what you are saying. im inclined to do that, but after i get in, next summer, im going to check my dorm, and the neighboorhood, and if that is good, i will bring my desktop.

Its just the major isssues are the space, the enviornment, and the security.

I would be happier with a single, but as a freshman and sophmore, that isnt probable. My buddy helped me find a nice laptop, but obviously prices will change in 1 year, so i will wait until summer to seriously consider, but im going to see if i can get a laptop for college, and then my sophmore year bring my desktop up.

so hopefully i will have both, but, id rather have an apartment for my desktop, so security isnt an issue

Hopefully you figure out the best solution. That desktop you have is really nice, I don't blame you for wanting to reserve it for your apartment.

i was just reading an article that this guy wrote, and it seems like he knows what he is talking about.

i have a 25 lb case, since its metal, and all the parts inside make it a good 35 pounds, so i dont think someone would want to grab that.

i think im going to skip the laptop, and bring my rig, if my roommate isnt a panzy

well I absolutely need one most of the time, I cant imagine University without one, but then again I am almost required to have one

I dont use it for note taking all the time but all in all its nice to have it with you but for me as I said its almost a requirement

I'm starting college in 2 weeks but I'd advise taking a laptop. There isn't anything wrong with bringing your desktop but you may have time where you need studied outside or at a friends.

With laptop you can bring it wherever you go.

you can still not use it if you bring it but you cant use it if you leave it at home
