Anyways, welcome to Yang Training 101, I'm your host Mirai the 8th, and today we'll be going over Yang Release. Now please tell me what you understand about Yang Release based on the RP and the Naruto Canon, what does it? It's attributes? Etc, enlighten me about this unique chakra nature.

The masculine component of the two, related to vitality, life, and physical energy. It can be used to give life, represents light, and is generally capable of empowering once's physical strength and durability. Naturally, Yang does not exist without Yin, with this being the same for Yin. The difference is the ratio of each within the other, with the more dominant ratio making it what it would be. Yin essentially provides the idea, and Yang the execution body as a very bare-bone explanation. Yang also represents heat (sun) and life power, as seen when Naruto's presence forces the growth of Yamato's wood. This goes beyond a side-effect of presence, as Yang can even be used to heal and restore limbs and injuries. Beyond that, series wise besides the Naruto example, Akimichi would be a valid demonstration of Yang, as well as taijutsu in general. That's a quick rundown from the top. Series wise, lmao bro leave me alone, I don't remember that shit. The two examples, Naruto being the Yang half, and Hagamaro using YY to create the tailed beasts is all I remember without further research.

Right so that’s a pretty solid base to work with. Of course, me being me, I’ll be introducing it a little bit more from my perspective so thar hopefully you might be able to learn a thing or two. Yang Release is a chakra nature that quite represents the physical energy of chakra. It’s governs the physical and vital energy of one’s body, but also the human condition – this allowing you to alter the human body down a anatomical level. It’s often described as “hot” or “warm” to its touch, it representing the sun while yin represent the moon. It’s male to Yin’s female, it’s an incredibly powerful healing agent. Yang Release is often times used in Medical Ninjutsu to heal others, but true Yang Release can not only heal, but it also can be used to restore the balance of one’s body. This was seen when Naruto used what we call in the rp “Touch of the Sun” to heal the chakra network of Guy before he passed away from unleashing the 8th Gate in the war or when Naruto gave Kakashi a completely new eye when he had lost his original on years ago. Yang can also breath life into targets, allowing inanimate objects or even chakra the ability to think and speak on an intellectual level. However don’t always think Yang as a completely “good” nature.

Yang can also be used for destructive purposes, as mentioned it allows control over the human condition which in turn can be used to create mutagens to the bodies of those affected, making them sick or debuffed etc. We’ll touch on those a little bit later on. Yang can be seen in other “lesser” forms, such as the Akimichi Clan’s Hiden Ability with their expansion jutsus, various forms of Taijutsu also incoperate aspects of Yang into it too or with Naruto in his Six Paths Sage Mode state which channels the Yang half of it. Before we move any further into things, do you believe in the oddity that “There is still Yin within Yang?” if so or not, explain to me why.

Alright bet. As for your question, yeah, similar to what I mentioned before, the two exist in one another. The ratios is what generally determines the Yin or Yang nature of a technique, alongside the functionality of the technique itself taken into consideration of course.

The first technique is the universal life breathing technique “(Yoton: Jigoku ni henkō) - Yang Release: Change into Hell”. It’s a really lovely technique that can grant any of your chakra based techniques sentience. This is normally only capable of the basic five natures, but Yang Specialists possess the ability to apply this to other chakra natures of advanced fields like Fuinjutsu, MPM and the likes. So I want you to go over the technique and give em your initial thoughts about and I’ll go over it with you some more.

(Yoton: Jigoku ni henkō) - Yang Release: Change into Hell
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A (+50, -10 per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user is able to use their Yang nature too imbue life into an elemental technique, creating a Yang/Element sentient entity that remains on the field to aid them. The only limit is the size of the technique originally used as an elemental source, as the resulting entity will always be half the size. The entity can be interacted with, can act on its own, and is made of the element sourced with all its properties intact. Its strength is based on the original elemental technique used as a source. This doesn’t consume time since it is actually a skill applied to a technique used within the same timeframe. The infused chakra increases the technique by an additional ten chakra, of the fifty it costs in total. Note that the resulting entity created by this technique is bound by logical limitations of its shape and nature; a meteor cannot move on its own, a pillar cannot walk away, and a statue without arms cannot pick things up. Likewise, while it is able to use techniques from the source it is created from it cannot extend into different fields. For instance, if Susano’o is brought to life by this technique it cannot use Blaze Release unless the Susano’o itself is constructed, or partially formed, from Blaze itself (e.g. Sasuke’s Susano’o). It is bound by the literal source it is formed from, rather than the fields it is bound to.
Note: Usable 3 times per battle and up to 6 times per event to create one entity with up to 300 chakra points that is able to use jutsu from the source it was created from. Its chakra reserves can be replenished through external means, and because it has a chakra network can fall under the influence of Genjutsu or other Spiritual-based techniques.
Note: Yang Release masters can apply this technique to advanced fields and CE and advanced elements.

Seeing that you mentioned MPM, ig it can be applied on shadows if I switched to Yang spec. Other than that it's pretty direct and easy to understand, especially since I've seen it in use so many times. Only thing that's a blow is the size deduction but that's barely an issue tbh. Beyond that a pretty solid technique.

Anyways, I suppose that's enough of that, let's move onto the next technique. This would be the ultimate healing technique in the canon, only rivaled by Tsunade's Creation Rebirth and the those techniques. This would be "(Yoton: Taiyōnomegumi) - Yang Release: Touch of the Sun". As said, this technique alone puts all of Medical Ninjutsu to shame, cause the extent its capable of healing is truly vast, to the point of being able to even restore lost limbs. This gets even better if you have Yang Specialist, cause then you can apply this to yourself which is pretty fucking good if you ask me. It heals for 150 HP which is almost completely full for non Sages. It's really a jack of all trades type of healing, the only thing is it doesn't heal spiritual damage. Any clue as to what the "Yin" of this technique is?

(Yoton: Taiyōnomegumi) - Yang Release: Touch of the Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost:70 per use
Damage points: N/A
Description: Through the infusion of Yang natured chakra into others, users can heal others to their original best physical form. It can be used to regrow missing body parts, heal wounds, purge poisons, etc. The target needs to be alive and the bigger the injury, the longer it takes to heal. The limits of the heal, however, are almost none as it can heal 150 damage per turn and can even heal the chakra system or other injuries that are otherwise not possible to be healed. The technique requires time and physical contact and as such isn't very suited to use in a battle when compared to regular Iryo Ninjutsu.
Note: Yang Release masters are able to use on themselves.

A cool one, the Yin aspect I’m assuming is like imagining the limbs coming back to place or the bones being in a normal condition and whatnot, with the Yang making that come into place. Wasn’t this what was used to counter the Eighth gate from screwing guy? So Naruto would have had the thought of Guy’s body staying normal and unscuffed if it was in the RP

Basically yea, though it should be noted that it cannot bring back shit like Sharingan. In this case I mean like if like let's say someone snatched your friend's eye. You restore it, you can't bring a fresh Sharingan, because you inherently lack the knowledge to bring such a thing back. Now if you're an Uchiha yourself, its a bit debatable if you can but would make more sense in the long run. It can heal blindness though caused by MS and EMS usage etc. It's a pretty powerful technique, its just unable to heal the 8th Gate unlike in the canon lmao. Anyways, unless you have more questions, let's carry onto the next one:

(Yoton: Ken'i) - Yang Release: Power of The Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 100 (50 per turn)
Damage points: N/A (+40 to Taijutsu)
Description: The user will reinforce his own body with Yang natured chakra, empowering his physical abilities to the outermost limits. This allows him to become physically very strong (beyond the normal levels of chakra enhanced strength), increases his resistance to physical damage (decreasing 60 damage from any physical contact), his speed (boosted to 3.5x his normal speed), and grants him a passive healing of all minor wounds at 30 damage per turn. However, by infusing himself with the Yang Nature, he becomes unable to use Yin Release techniques or Yin/Yang Release techniques; he cannot use Genjutsu or non elemental Ninjutsu of any kind (including special fields like Fuuinjutsu).
Note: Can only be used twice per battle and lasts 4 turns per use.

Power of the Sun is basically the basic embodiment of empowering one's body to the utmost with Yang Release, making it quite strong. Talk to me about it.

“Now if you're an Uchiha yourself” You disgust me.

This technique always annoyed me since it was so much better than EIG lmao. Like speed wise it’s 5th gate, damage wise it’s 6th plus you get the healing and the damage shaving. On top of that you can still access Ninjutsu. Like wewlad what a way to shit on a whole mode. The chakra cost is high yeah, but totally justified considering whats it granting. Overall a pretty strong technique with fluff drawbacks tbvh.

Almost, well considering Yang is the pinnacle of physical abilities in the rp aside from Suen, it's basically a built in EIG yea for anyone with Yang. Anyways, unless you have anything else to add in, then I suppose can continue.

(Yoton: Yamata no Orochi) Yang Release: 8 Branched Giant Snake
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 100/110 for Yin-Yang chakra
Damage: 100/120 w/ Elemental or Yin-Yang chakra
Description: This technique sees the creation of the mythical serpent, the Yamata no Orochi. The user begins by gathering their Yang chakra into their arms and creating three branching streams of white chakra from each of them as well as coating both arms in chakra. The user’s arms and streams of chakra will take the form of serpents with flaming amber eyes. Due to the nature of this technique utilizing one’s Yang chakra, these serpents are not simple manifestations of chakra, but actual sentient creatures. The serpents can sense entities like ordinary snakes and they share a telepathic link to the user, allowing them to communicate with each other. They act like chakra arms and can be used for a variety of purposes. In the base form of this technique, the 8 branches are simple ethereal constructs of sentient Yang chakra. In their second form, users can add nature release to the branches to increase their power. In their third and final form, the user can add Yin Release chakra and give the branches physical bodies. The addition of the Yin Release also gives the branches unique venom which drains the physical vitality of the victim. The bite from each snake lowers a victim’s physical speed, reaction, and ability to use high ranked physical techniques.
Note: Form 1 is capable by all users of Yang Release, Form 2 is capable of Yang Release masters and Yin-Yang users. Form 3, also known as Yin-Yang Release: Yamata no Orochi is only capable of Yin-Yang Users with an affinity to Yang Release.
Note: The vitality degenerating venom is capable by all branches of this technique, however there is only enough for 3 usages. The vitality degeneration venom becomes worse with every bite. If a victim is bitten once their base reaction/tracking is reduced by half, twice and their base speed and physical damage is reduced by half, and thrice they will lose the ability to use any form of tai or kenjutsu techniques and will be rendered completely paralyzed 2 turns after the third bite if not healed. The victim will be unable to do anything short of breathing, including using their chakra. Users bitten once also become incapable of using physical elevating techniques such as Sage Mode or EIG.
Note: Medical ninja or other Yang Release users can rid themselves of the poison through means of medical techniques or vitality boosting techniques such as power of the sun.
Note: Technique can only be used once per battle and requires 50 chakra points to maintain (60 above the first form). While this technique is in use, the user cannot use any non-elemental ninjutsu, Yin Release, or Yin-Yang techniques (other than this technique’s advanced variation).

This is basically the Yang variant of Yin's Phantom Dragons. Similar concept but of course differing auxiliary effects and the likes. Talk to me about it.

Nothing to add. 8 branched is a pretty direct one and simple to use, I'd say it's weaker than the Yin equivalent due to the Phantom Dragon's versatility imo. Otherwise not much to say about this technique, I don't really see myself using it unless I need something with a decent base damage to boost and whatnot.

( Yoton: Byako ) - Yang Release: White Tiger
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 70 (-40 per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user gathers Yang energy into his arms and hands, creating pseudo sentient white tiger heads. Due to the Yang energy, the arms become incredibly hot, causing steam emanate from them. The tiger heads roar when the user attacks and releases the dense steam as a result. In spite of the menacing appearance of the tigers, the strikes do not cause bone crushing or outwardly physical harm. Each strike onto the target causes a massive release of yang chakra into the body, which causes an imbalance of Yang energy. The imbalance results in the target's inability to mold chakra sufficiently for techniques. A single strike from this technique is all that is required to imbalance one's chakra. Targets afflicted by this imbalance become incapable of using techniques unless they spend 3x the amount chakra ordinarily required. However, excessive amounts of chakra from this technique (one turn of contact or a total of 4 completed strikes) results in a more degrading consequence. The incoming chakra becomes so great that it literally begins to burn away the victim's Yin Release chakra in order to make room until the ratio of Yin is at its minimum level required for the victim to remain alive. This reduces the victim's chakra pool by 50% as well as cause their body such tremendous physical pain due to the excess physical energy in their body. Their muscles begin to tear resulting in their movement speed being reduced by 1/4th. Other Yang Release users and Yin-Yang users are capable of controlling the excess amounts of Yang release energy due to their training and thus, will not lose any speed and will only lose 25% of their chakra. Senjutsu surges of equivalent chakra or infusions of those ranks will negate the side effects of this Jutsu, allowing it to be ended prematurely. Should two or more strikes land, the amount of chakra needed to break it will increase likewise, requiring 20 more chakr.
Note: One strike prevents the use of techniques S-rank and above and requires 3x the normal cost for techniques A-rank and below. Yin-Yang Release users can use S-rank at 3x the cost due to their elevated control. The use of Yin Release and genjutsu above A-rank becomes impossible after 2 strikes. All matter of genjutsu becomes unusable after 4 strikes.
Note: The technique ends when the user calls for it or after they've made 4 successive strikes, whichever comes first. While the jutsu is active, the user cannot use Yin Release or non-elemental ninjutsu.
Note: Usable twice per battle and with a 4 turn cool down.

Alright; talk to me about this one too. It's basically the canon example of Yang Release having damaging/debuffing properties. Anything you can add into this?

A pretty nice one if it manages to hit. It forces an imbalance upon opponent's chakra networks, causing them to require more chakra to use their stuff while overall restricting them and placing them in a tough spot. The reduction of the chakra pool as well is a nice effect to have too as it can be used to **** some builds of opponent's.

Yup it's one the perfect examples of how Yang has destructive affects on others and not only Yin. You can really get a lot of mileage from it, namely like how Daemon made his Yang CFS with viruses etc. Anyways, moving onto the next:

( Yoton: Jigoku no Enjin ) - Yang Release: Ring of Hell
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 80 for touch based version/100 for ranged version
Damage: N/A
Description: By channeling copious amounts of Yang energy, the user is able to infuse others with this, temporarily enhancing their physical attributes. This is achieved in two ways, either by direct touch or proximity. The first is more limited to a single person but has greater benefits; those channeled directly into will be able to reduce 35 damage from physical contact and gain physical alterations to their body that the Yang energy 'breathes' into life, such as twice the height or width of their body, additional arms or legs, etc as long as within reason and used solely for physical purposes. Should the user use the alternative release, then he is able to release Yang energy from his body up to Long range away, affecting all allies in the range. This variant allows the user to augment all allies with the same type of changes, ranging from all gaining wings to more. These changes only last a limited time, however; after 3 turns pass, the grown appendages or changes fall and revert back to normal. Depending on the alteration, one of a few benefits might be obtained.
Note: If additional arms, stronger arms or alterations related to the arm are made, then the target will gain an additional +20 to Taijutsu. If the changes target the head, the user is able to grant a 2x tracking. If leg based alterations are made, then the target will gain either +4 levels to his base speed or +20 damage to leg based tai. If changes target the torso, then an universal durability boost of B rank Ninjutsu immunity is obtained and if wings or similar is created, then the user is able to fly at thrice their speed.
Note: The damage and speed boosts are considered Passive and Base Speed increases. The values listed in the techniques are if the touch based variant is used. If the ranged variant is used, then these benefits are reduced by gained on a lesser scale ( +15 to Tai instead of +20, +2 Speed Levels, 1.5x Tracking, or -15 from all physical clashes).
Note: Touch based variant can only affect up to two people per event. Ranged variant creates a wave of Yang energy that affects up to 3 allies and lasts up to 4 turns.
Note: Can only be used three times in total.

Yeah it can have a bunch of custom potential. Only if I ever manage to submit on time. Anyways, it's a pretty versatile and cool boost one. It affords a nice variety depending on what is changed, with each the ranged version of the technique being slightly weaker. Is it that the longer range variant lasts 4 while the touch lasts 3? Also, can I apply this to a summoning and sentient techniques.

It’s vice versa, the ranged version lasting less in comparison to the touch version. It can be used on summonings yes, but as for familiars…I think it will really depend on what the familiar is in a sense. I can see like a stone golem being able to have this applied to them in example but a ball of fire, I can always ask about this in sensei chat but I think that’s how it would be treated.

(Yoton Modo) – Yang State
Type: Mode
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: 200 (-50 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Based on Hagoromo’s Six Paths Sage Mode, those who have completed and specialized in Yang Release can enter this mode to elevate their prowess, but only in their spiritual or physical capabilities. The lack of the Juubi’s monstrous chakra and natural energy makes it impossible for proper balance of both Yin and Yang natures simultaneously at such a high level. When entering this mode, users first gather their five basic nature chakras and their Yin and Yang natures. They then manipulate the ratio of their Yin to Yang chakra such that one nature almost completely overshadows the other, done almost instantly and effortlessly. The result causes the user to enter one Yang State. Yang State is the state entered by users when they emphasize their Yang chakra over their Yin chakra. In this state the user is endowed with a white and black chakra shroud that the user can alter cosmetically. Their hair and sclera become white, and their hands glow a white energy with fingerless gloves and black magatama along their back. The user gains two main attributes in this state: Tian and Onibi. Tian refers to physical power beyond the scope of earthly mortals. While in Yang State the user’s ability to track and react to movement and actions becomes limitless. The user’s speed increases by 6x their base speed. Likewise, their physical durability reaches its apex, capable of reducing damage from all physical clashes by 80 damage. Note that this physical reduction goes beyond simply physical elements; it applies to anything within the ‘physical’ realm – meaning any physical interaction, be it from Fire Release, Earth, or Lightning are reduced while in Yang State. The opposite, the Spiritual, is not mitigated. Though important to note the user is still suspectable to techniques that apply physically debilitating debuffs, such as paralysis, fatigue, etc. The other trait the user gains, Onibi, activates when the user enters Yang State. The drawback to this technique is that, due to the massive imbalance of Yang chakra, Yin Release and other spiritual techniques are impossible to use whilst in this state.
Note: This technique only last 6 turns and can be used only once per battle.
Note: One must have completed Yang Release in order to use this technique. The user can only use either Yin or Yang State on any bio.
Note: Once the technique ends the user’s spiritual or physical chakra is drained to the barest minimum for their survival, thus making them incapable of using Yin, Yang, or Yin-Yang Release techniques for 10 turns and incapable of using taijutsu for 5 turns (this includes releasing leg weights and physically augmenting techniques).
Note: Likewise, users are unable to use techniques above A-rank for 4 turns.

(Onibi) – Onibi
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: 40 (-10 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Said to be ghosts of light in ancient lore, these are the spirits of the dead that can be roughly translated as Will-o’-Wisps. Within the field of Yang Release it is the pinnacle manifestation of the field’s core concept: governing vitality and life, the ultimate display of a Yang Master as the giver of life. Onibi is activated simultaneously as Yang Mode, initiated passively once the Mode has been entered. Much like how Kuninotokotachi augments all of the user’s Illusionary techniques, Onibi augments all of the user’s specialized physical techniques; for the duration of Yang State all of the aforementioned techniques are enhanced by passively infusing them with Change into Hell. Each creation is endowed with 300 chakra points, 100 health, sharing their creator’s base speed, and their own form of sentience. Like with Change into Hell, creations through this technique are able to use techniques from the source they are produced from. As life is ever changing and mutating in each permutation, Onibi also grants two random mutations to each creation. These are to be rolled on each time a sentient creation is formed with Onibi. When Yang State expires the user’s techniques that are augmented with Onibi’s sentience and mutations also expire. The random mutations are as follows:

  1. Empowered Vitality: The user’s sentient entity’s vitality is empowered further, increasing its health pool by 80 additional points.
  2. Clear Casting: The user’s sentient entity has its ability to perform techniques augmented, allowing it to perform its techniques without the need for hand seals.
  3. Empowered Speed: The user’s sentient entity has its ability to move enhanced, increasing its speed by 8 base levels.
  4. Thickened Hide: Improved durability reduces all physical damage taken by 40.
  5. Empowered Reserves: The user’s reserves are empowered, increasing its base chakra reserves to 500.
  6. Black Blood: Infuses a deadly vitality-based mutagen within the sentient creation. When the Creation dies or expires its blood will burst in a mid-range radius from its position, afflicting any within with Black Blood. Black Blood inflicts 10 damage per turn indefinitely on any, other than the user, until the end of the battle. Can only be cured by Yin-Yang Release or Senjutsu.
  7. Debilitating Aura: The user’s sentient creation radiates physical energy, destabilizing any living target within a five-meter zone around it. Reduces movement speed by 8 base levels, inflicts 10 damage per turn, and drains 10% of the targets chakra per turn. Can be resisted with a Yin Release technique of equal rank or Senjutsu that persists through this mutation’s duration.
  8. Acidic Spikes: The user’s sentient creation is empowered with the Acidic Spines mutation, causing it to periodically unleash a volley of vitality-based spikes at all enemy targets on the battlefield. Each spike inflicts 80 damage and contains 40 chakra. Its damage is inflicted at a rate of 40 per turn to living targets, but clashing with other techniques counts as 80 damage. Only a single spike can be released at a single target, with each additional target counting as an additional spike. This does not count toward one of the user’s three moves, and it has a 25% chance of occurring every other turn after the creation is formed.
  9. Overwhelming Vitality: The user’s sentient creation is empowered with Overwhelming Vitality, causing it to explode upon death in a mid-range radius explosion of violent energy. Anything caught within it suffers 120 damage.
  10. Prismatic Mutation: A mutation that takes on the combined effects of two random mutations, allowing for three total mutations on a creation. When this occurs, the user is to roll for the first mutation as normal, and then roll for one additional mutation and select one of the first four mutations. This allows for a total of three.

Alright last but not least, Yang Mode and Onibi. There's quite a bit here going on so let's go a bit into this discussion wise.
