Lmao yeah, I saw this ending coming with the “It wasn’t an official one anyway” type of lose. Soma taking another L which is refreshing for these types of manga where the MC always wins but in this one Soma actually uses his L’s to improve and get better like in the Autumn Alumni Selection. Not only that but you got my girl Megumi going innnnn on these central fodder like nothing and Nikumi being as beast. It’s really nice to see that some of the MC’s get some spot light instead of just Soma who just took an L from the first seat.

Now we got the new arc coming in with the Promotion Exams which I assume might be either the exams to advance into the next year of school or maybe into the Elite Ten, or maybe something even new. Azami mentioned that its not taking place in the school but outside in another area of the country so im assume it might be a special exam beyond what I mentioned above. Overall a good chapter , hopefully after this L we can see Soma get better.

Well they finally noticed the judge-problem. At first I thought this dilemma could be solved if it would have ended in 1-1, but then at the end of the chapter it was said it would be 2-0 and I find the chance that Soma would win 2-0 even lower than the chance he would join Central. So I'm still expecting some kind if interruption to happen at the last moment. Another possible scenario is that something rather simple might solve this, like that Tsukasa suddenly says to forget about it as he realized from eating Soma's food him joining central wouldn't work or something.

I just love how Soma reacts even when he loses: "winning sure is nice, ain't it...and loosing sure does suck" xd And go Megumi, it's nice to see she apparently has overcome her timid nature and has gained confidence.

I doubt it's about getting into the Elite 10 as Azami just removed three seats because they weren't supporting him, so they're really not going to have an exam where anyone can join the Elite 10. I also think there's no need to have a third way of getting into the Elite 10 after a shokugeki and via deliberation of the Elite 10 Review Committee.

Yeah see your point but was just under my "possible" areas of it happening, Im more or less sure its something new as he said he has a special stage to bring down each one of them so im expecting something big.

Well I think it's just the next step in the school curriculum:

Training camp -> Autumn Selection -> Stagaire Period -> Moon Banquet Festival -> Promotion Exams

Though the MBF might be ignored as it's optional to participate in. Either way my guess is that it are the exams to go to the 2nd year or something.

Not sure whether it's something official or not, but it has been happening for a while now that entire colored chapters are released and that does not only count for Shokugeki no Soma. First you have the regular version, after that the colored one.
