During Pain's battle with Jiraiya, the Human Path's eyes were damaged and it was left unable to see. For this reason, it used only taijutsu during the battle, where it displayed incredible strength and speed. The Human Path was later shown to have the capability of mind reading simply by placing its hand over the target's head, and could extract any information or secret being hidden by the victim against his/her will. However, using the technique will inevitably pull the soul out of the target's body, causing instant death.

Hmm....makes me wonder if Danzo was capable of using the Mangekyo as well. As this is a Mangekyo technique it suggests he had access to the MS. Also Itachi comments how the technique takes a decade to recharge, unless the person has access to Hashirama's power, a pretty clear reference to Danzo.
This chapter also makes me question the idea that to unlock your MS you need to kill your best friend. Out of Itachi, Sasuke, Shisui and Kakashi, not one of them killed their best friend to achieve the MS.
It also brings up the question of how Yagura, the Mizukage was being controlled. Kisame said the Mizukage was being controlled by the Sharingan and Mei said she thought Danzo's mind control was similar to what was controlling Yagura. This made me think that maybe Madara somehow got a hold of Shisui's other eye and used it, but that can't be the case now since both eyes are accounted for.

Though now that I think of it Madara was pretty mad when Danzo destroyed the eye, which makes me think he wanted the eye for the mind control ability. Wouldn't make much sense if he could use the same thing.
Maybe Danzo was just working with Madara at that time.

Did any of you pick up the part where the crow has lost the mangekyo now and it takes 10 years to get it back again....unless you have something like harashirama senju's chakra which I believe Naruto does have and should be able to invoke the power again later.
