That would be a remarkable example of being proud of one's sexual views. Sasuke should learn from Itachi. Or maybe he's too scared cause he knows Naruto would friendzone him... Or would he?
Anyway, Itachi being gay only makes him more interesting. Dumbledore was also gay, and nobody really could **** with that old fart.
Why would itachi be gay? I agree it would be more deep but since when are there gay guys on naruto,(haven't seen any thus far, read all manga)
I think it's kind of cute, but Kishimoto implied he was popular with the ladies, so unless he was sugarcoating Itachi's true sexuality, I'm pretty sure he had a female lover.
People imply Neji has a thing for Hinata, but their bond as cousins would be the best comparison to Itachi and Shisui. Related to the same clan and as close as blood siblings.

Sasuke is also popular with the ladies but it doesn't change the fact that he's gay.
Most gay dudes are popular with the ladies
lol debatable until otherwise proven.
True, but he didn't act it, not like Haku. No one could debate that imo, though some may try...
There are masculine gay men, who attract women and even entertains them while having a gay lover. Itachi had too much going for him to be an openly gay character. He may or may not have been, but what's presented seems more plausible than not.
When you consider his age (13 I think), wouldn't a clan like his have planned an arranged marriage by then? I've always wondered that. That's why I would assume the lover was female. Whether he loved her or not is not stated, so I would assume it was arranged. Being gay could be true and again, I find it cute if it's true but also tragic like Zabuza and Haku.
Also are we forgetting this? (;

Those long eyelashes too, I dunno- maybe it's a little bit more plausible than you may think ;D
Zabuza and Haku couldn't have been gay together, but now that I think about they do seem like the most gay couple in the series. Whomever Itachi's lover was him killed them, Shisha's death unknown
lol I just read the interview with Kishimoto (in the anime forum) and he said Itachi had a girlfriend.
Actually, I remember in said interview he used the word koibito(恋人) which is a genderless word, that translator probably took the liberty to interpret it as girlfriend, but such distintion was never made by Kishimoto.
