Besides Naruto, Shisui was the only person Itachi outright praised. As if that wasn't enough, Shisui also appeared to be much more wise than Itachi. He also was the first to feel that the Uchiha were to be stopped for the sake of a village, a decision that Itachi had to seek his advice for to come to.

And those are just non-quantifiable feats.

When it comes to battle, though much isn't know about Shisui, it stands to reason that he was to be as powerful of a shinobi as Itachi if not more.

Here's what we do know:

- His KA was the most coveted pair of Sharingan in the NV / Nobody wanted or rly cared for Itachi's Nightmare Realm

- Because he had unlocked MS without seeing tragedy like most Uchiha, chances are he would've had a Susanoo if not a PS

- in addition to being adept in various Katon techniques, he was also heralded for his speed and was dubbed Shisui the Teleporter.

- He trained Itachi, the man many consider a god. If Itachi's a god, than what would have Shisui been?

Many praise Itachi because of his self-sacrifice but almost NOBODY even mentions to original sacrifice that Shisui made without even a moment's hesistation.

Itachi needed the love of his little brother to hep guide his decision, when the love of everybody in the village was enough for Shisui to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Shisui could've Koto'd everybody and ended everything, instead he chose love over power and sacrificed himself to prevent the abuse of it.

Honor that man. He doesn't get nearly as much credit as he deserves.

That's because Itachi threatened Danzo through blackmailing him.

I agree though, Shisui is overhyped. The main reason Itachi praised him was through his ideology, nothing more.

Shisui was featless. We just don't know much about him. Most of his screentime was in fillers.
KA is not really that useful considering it can be used once in a decade.

But intelligence wise, I can agree he was on par with Itachi.

If he had any strong will as Itachi, he'd have used his KA to resolve the Coup issue from both sides.

Frankly Shisui>Itachi is only a fanfiction because we see nothing of him, and his performence against Danzo was not very good...

I admit that he can one shot Itachi with his MS's jutsu, but Itachi can do it too with ameterasu...the only thing we can say is that Shisui has the more powerful genjutsu (not the most powerfull genjutsu user, but the one with the best genjutsu).

Yea no.... Shisui is literally featless in the manga, itachi even has the sole feat with shisuis own eye power, and even in fillers a younger itachi is pretty much at his level, so take your pic itachi>shisui in both

Shisui was Itachi's mentor and there are many characteristics they share.
We don't know how Shisui got his MS and I question the power of Koto.
Koto's main strength was to control the opponent without him knowing it which is a powerful tool, but then I'd rather have Tsukuyomi for 2 reasons:
-More damaging, Itachi put Kakashi in hospital after only I think 2 seconds, the quick phyiscal and mental damage is outstanding
-You don't lose an eye for a decade, so you can use Tsukuyomi 3 times in a battle and maybe you can't use your eye for that battle anymore but it will recover for the next battle, unlike Koto which needs 10 years.

Itachi's Tsukuyomi is specifically made for fights, to cripple and devastate the enemy while Koto is useful because the enemy doesn't know he is being controlled. But if I had to lose an eye because the enemy is so damn strong and survives even Tsukuyomi, you could just Izanami gg.

Well Danzo was younger then when he fought Sasuke e.g. while Shisui was still only 16. I think it would be hard for anyone to defeatn someone who is probably on a similar level to Hiruzen after a surprise ambush attack and losing 1 eye, it wouldn't even be a good idea to attack. He also obviously wouldn't want to kill Danzo as he would be probably exiled and vilified by all Konoha.

2 different ambushes tho, 2nd hokage got ambushed by the cloud village elite team or whatever, I think they had those 2 fox brothers and *****s with lighting cloaks. Shisui got ambushed by some leaf anbu who threw shurikens and shit, all he needed was shadow clone jutsu and he would be straight
He had the right mentality and mind, but for the sake of his eye, he could've really used a shadow clone jutsu followed by a genjutsu, and then teleport out
