Neji mid diff.

Shinos bugs have to actually make it onto his opponents before they can eat them alive and the byakugan that neji has gives him a great advantage at countering this. I could rightly say that Neji wouldn't even let one single bug land on him. Even the ones that can make it to his blind spot.

Nice biased fan fiction you got there. Either you do not know much about Sakura, and in turn, have no clue on her entire arsenal of abilities, or your memory is quite selective. Since this is not a Shino VS Sakura thread, I won't elaborate.

However, I find it quite odd that you think Shino loses to Neji, Lee or Chouji considering the fact that these three only use taijutsu (excluding Neji's airpalms), whereas Sakura is more versatile.

Anyhow, I would actually love to debate this match up. I'm going with Shino high difficulty. There was once a and I was able to prove that Shino beats Hinata low-mid difficulty. Since both have a similar style of fighting, Shino can also beat Neji albeit it would be much more difficult.

Yeah but Neji is bars above Hinata. Lee an Gai have similar fighting style too but that does not mean Lee and Gai are on similar levels.

Body Blow could maybe work to blow off the bugs that do get Neji. On the other hand those bugs could maybe whittle Neji's chakra bit by bit each time. They have been shown to feed on chakra in a manner of seconds. Air Palm focuses on one point of attack, leaving Neji defenseless else where.

Close combat is just as risky for Neji as it is Shino. Shino is able to release his insects and spread them out in little time. Neji getting close too early could mean giving Shino's bugs a feast.

On old Neji vs Shino threads another issue was Neji's 360 degree field of vision. Insect Jamming now takes care of that.

Rotation is a good bet for Neji. But I think it tires Neji out doesn't it? I doubt the bugs would die from being blow back. Which would allow them to regroup.

As for Shino being slower than Neji. That's true. But there's a difference in Shino being slower and his insects. No one ever really talks about the insects speed. Just Shino's. Multiple times we have seen his insects move quickly and silently. Insect Globe is a huge problem. It takes over the area at large and as stated by Shino the insects keep pursuing the opponent until captured. Neji could run of stamina before he kills them. Although, I don't think Rotation/Air Palm can kill such tiny creatures. :dunno:

If someone, such as 4th Raikage can beat Rock Lee low difficulty, than he can most likely beat Gai mid-high difficulty.

Anyway Hinata and Neji are just one year apart whereas Lee and Gai are like 15 years apart. Not to mention that what I said for Hinata would also go for Neji.

Neji is just a better version of Hinata with better speed, stamina, taijutsu, rotation but without twin lion fists. Shino is a bad match up for the both of them.

Bold part explains why Neji is better than her(plus strength, proficcency, battle intelligence, and precision; also Neji was able to force chakra out of his tenketsu points); twin lion fists are still featless and i highly doubt they would outclass Neji's whole arsenal.
There are people Gai can defeat while Lee can not; for ex. Lee would not take down Kisame without samehada, but Gai was able to; i just gave Gai and Lee example to show that people on similar fighting styles are not suppose to be on similar levels (Tsunade and Sakura are similar too); and age does not mean much in Narutoverse.

Oh yeah I forgot about full body blow. I guess Neji can take this high difficulty. The data book says that Hinata is more intelligent than Neji although the data book gives some bizarre information when it comes to numrical stats.

Yeah I know, Neji can defeat the likes of Asuma mid difficulty whereas Hinata loses mid difficulty.

Yes the full body blow is a great counter; that's one of the reasons why i think Neji can pull of a victory.
And databooks are weird i never saw Hinata with using battle strategy, while Sasuke who has the same stats with her in inteligence (3,5) shown much more in battle intelligence... Heck even Kiba who has like 2 made a trap against Sakon/Ukon.

bleh! Shino takes this!

1. rotation is useless against "living" ninjutsu. Shino could adjust the range of his insects if need be
2. Shino's insects have amazing speed feats, which are somehow always overlooked.
3. 360 degree is trumped by insect jamming technique..so much for byakugan...
4. air palm is a focused attack. there's no time for neji to spam and evade a swarm of quick insects for long
5. in fact, (as shown vs zaku) if packed closely together, shino's insects prove tank worthy to focused attacks
6. as for neji getting close, he'd have to make sure that his palms would be effective on the REAL shino. and seeing as though insect jamming trumps byakugan...that'd be extremely difficult

THIS is why Shino wins^^^^^^^
