Shino vs. Kankuro, Loss by Plot?

Remember early on in the series when we saw shino fight Kankuro? (it's been his only fight for that matter...) Well, I personally believe that Shino could've beaten Kankuro but was cursed by good'ol plot no jutsu. Kishi wanted no one interfering with Sasuke, naruto, gaara's fight so he made Shino lose.

What are your thoughts, could shino have beaten kankuro? can he still beat kankuro?

Well I only briefly remember the fight but what parts do you think were plot induced in the manga?

Honestly I think he did pretty well. At that time the Sand Siblings were some of the strongest of the group and were constantly identified as a threat. So the fact that he pretty much stalemated showed good power at that time.

Honestly I think he did pretty well. At that time the Sand Siblings were some of the strongest of the group and were constantly identified as a threat. So the fact that he pretty much stalemated showed good power at that time.

I think shino had more than enough time to hold his breath before the smoke cloud came, it was going pretty slow :S And in the end, shino's bugs did nothing, because Kankuro got away

Noo Shino is weak. Also, I don't see how bugs can defeat puppets. Kankuro has only gotten stronger since then and Shino has not even been shown so now Kankuro would beat Shino with extremely low diff

Not really the sand trio was always strong for genin the fact he could fight evenly with one of them is a pretty good feat for a genin.

These are two really interesting fighters due to their unique style especially shino, i didnt see the fight between the two so i can't comment on that aspect

but i can say that Shino has potential to be the best non-OP ninja there is, his bugs have so much versatility that i actually want to make a thread on him
