why were you relying on kido spells?

i was using kidou spells also .. ( and i hav stated the reason for it too .. )

The cause of all that panting was my Shikai Instant Release Effect ( like Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu ) which is to make the opponent tire faster, proportional to the amount of Reiatsu they use, i.e , the more they use, the faster they get tired .
