The Stories of Shiko Kaguya: The beginning of a Legend
Shiko Kaguya: the originator of the Kaguya Clan; the creator of the Shikotsumyaku Kekkei Genkei, the only ninja to ever defeat the Sage of Six Paths. Shiko Kaguya is the epitome of excellence in a ninja. Born in the outskirts of the Mist Village (before it was established as such) to unknown parents who abandoned him, Shiko Sagai learned to fend for himself in the world of savages. A traveling monk, who taught Shiko several lessons in philosophical studies of the human mind, found him at the age of 4-5. Since they were in the mist village where all outside thoughts besides those of war and bloodlust were outlawed, Kaguya (the name of the monk) also taught Shiko how to fight to defend his way and of life and sense of self (the Metsubou Village [predecessor to the Mist Village] hated all who tried to be an original person and read/spoke intelligently). Monk Kaguya also made Shiko join the Metsubou Village’s army, Kuri Bano (Dark Savages), to sharpen his skills in battle “for the well-rounded person has no weak corner on his person”. At this point, Kaguya noted that Shiko had a regenerating ability that caused his skin to grow back and a peculiar chakra that created two unnatural elements within him, Shiroi Katon and Raijingu Sanda (White Fire and Raging Thunder).
While in the Academy, Shiko read several of the Bano’s general war tactic books and even read the Dao De Jing, (The Way of Virtue). Shiko studied the I-Ching (or the Book of Changes) and begin to study the hexagrams and trigrams. Shiko began to teach the other students in the Academy about living in harmony with everything. He stressed that people should look beyond everyday cares to focus on the Dao of the universe. Shiko taught that the Dao was hard to speak of and even explain. “Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know.” He wanted everyone to know about the simplest way or nature and the virtue of yielding. Water, he pointed out, does not resist, but yields to outside pressure- yet it is an unstoppable force.
Over the short time of a month, the Metsubou Village fell in power and force as Daoists begin to populate the village and fighting spirits fell around the village. This did not please the Kurikage (Dark Shadow) one bit. After questioning the people on where they found such intense persuasion from, they pointed him in the direction of the Metsubou Village Academy. After systemically killing nearly all the teachers in the Academy out of thoughts of them teaching the students this, one teacher informed him that it was Shiko teaching all the nonsense around the village. Knowing that Shiko often repeated what he learned at home with Monk Kaguya, he began to fear a coup d'?tat from him, thinking that he wanted to become the new leader of the Metsubou Village. The Kurikage began to panic; after all, he had only been Kage for, what, only three months? How would the village look if their first Kage was dethroned and rebelled against? He began to from a secret ninja squad, excelling in tracking abilities and silent murdering techniques. He gave them the seven men elite swords, each with different capabilities. He had them follow Monk Kaguya around to ensure that he had no type of secret meetings around the village.
Meanwhile, Shiko had become a top student in the Academy and was even offered a place to teach, all at the mere age of 11. Little did he know that the teaching position was offered by the Mizukage as means to get close to Shiko and Kaguya to spy further on him. As soon as Shiko accepted the position, the Kurikage began to meet with him everyday for extended amounts of time, trying to win his allegiance to Metsubou and become one of his guards. As the Kurikage saw it, if he could get Shiko on his side, that would make the destruction of Kaguya even easier for him.
Kaguya had begin to suspect things were out of place within the village and started to meet with several other elder members of the village to discuss a list of things that they should discuss with the Mizukage when they got the chance. However, a spy only heard them gather things that should be changed within the government of the village and quickly fled to the Kage to reiterate what he heard. Fearing the worst, the Kage began to follow through with the plan he laid out so far: seduce Shiko to join him and kill Kaguya.
He began to tell Shiko about a ninja that the Kage had heard stories of when he was little that could control the heavens and even bring hell to the world. He said the ninja, known as the Sage of Six Paths, was even capable of creating a new planet, which the Kurikage then pointed out the moon to show him that planet. Shiko was amazed by all of this but wanted to know something more, like could the ninja possibly bring back the dead?
The Kurikage told him that the Sage of Six Paths was possible for everything in the world and he let his two students learn all of his techniques, one of them long disappeared but the other within the very village. Shiko’s heart begins to race. Who was the person who could teach him wonderful and great powers? Forgetting about his virtues and code of life, Shiko begin to plead for the Kage to tell him who this person was and he would do anything for the power.
Sensing weakness, the Kage told him that he was the person in the village who had learned from the Sage. Desperate to learn the power Shiko pleaded allegiance to the Kurikage and stated he would do anything to get the power, even kill those in his way to greatness. When asked if he even kill his family, Shiko replied by saying that his only family now was the Kurikage. He then sent Shiko out to deliver a scroll to someone else around the village and report back as soon as possible. Before Shiko leaves, the Kurikage tells Shiko that if his dad was around, he would be proud of him and even though he never Shiko’s dad, he was sure that his father was a great man.
At this point, Monk Kaguya began to feel the harmonic bond between him and Shiko break and feared the worst had happened to Shiko. He quickly made his way to the Kurikage’s headquarters and demanded to the whereabouts of Shiko. The Kurikage said that Shiko was dead and that it was Kaguya’s time to die as well. He said that he warned Kaguya that all of his teachings were to come back and kill him, just like they did Shiko. He even lied and said that Shiko had begged for mercy before he mutilated him.
Anger filled the mind of Monk Kaguya, who even though he practiced self-discipline, could no longer hold within the savage beast begging to be released from its cage. Kaguya began to attack Kurikage with Tai Chi mixed with Kung Fu- Crane style. The Kurikage could barely hold him off and knew that if Shiko didn’t make it back in time, he might be dead.
Meanwhile, Shiko, after delivering the message, decided to stop in on Monk Kaguya. He saw that the house was empty and his neighbor informed him that he went to the Kurikage with mischievous eyes. Shiko rushed back to the Castle.
As he made it in the room, he saw Kaguya aiming a spear at the Kurikage. As he threw it, Shiko jumped in the way of the spear and put his hand up and it pierced his hand. He then threw it down as his skin grew back, with anger in his eyes. His mentor, his friend, his father, had just tried to kill him and his leader, his new family.
Shiko shot a blast of fire from his hand and then shot another blast of lightning with the two mixing in the mid-air (causing it to make Raging Thunder
). As Kaguya is hit and begins to die, Shiko walks up to him and admits his disgust in him for trying to kill the Kurikage. Kaguya pulls him closer and whispers that the Kurikage is planning to kill him and absorb his powers, as he did with Shiko’s parents. Kaguya then dies.
The Kurikage begins to glow with happiness and starts to praise Shiko for his great deeds. He then asks Shiko what type of training he wants to do first. Shiko stands and slowly walks away from Kaguya’s dead body, furthering the distance between him and the Kurikage. He then slowly turns and has tears on his face. He is shown to be looking as if he is mourning the loss of Monk Kaguya.
The Kurikage then says that it is natural for one to feel sad after killing another, but what must be done must be done. He then says that if Shiko’s father was still alive, he would be proud of him and that he and Shiko’s dad used to always mourn after killing someone.
Shiko pauses and slowly looks at the Kurikage. He then asked the Kurikage if he knew his dad. The Kurikage said that they were good friends and he even knew Shiko’s mom as well. Anger begin to rise inside of Shiko and he releases a large amount of White Fire (pwnsome
) inside the room, burning everything except him, Monk Kaguya, and the Kurikage, who quickly made an orb of water.
Astonished and confused, the Kurikage asked what the hell was wrong with Shiko, who responded by firing a wide bolt of Raging Thunder lightning towards the water orb around the Kurikage, who turned it into wind quickly.
Shiko then said that he told everyone that Monk Kaguya was his father for one thing. Another was that he, the Kurikage, had just mentioned about an hour ago, that he had never known Shiko’s parents. Lastly, if he never knew or heard of his parents, how can he know if they were dead?
The Kurikage begin to laugh. “So, the old man continues to fight even after you killed him? He told you and you fight for him from his grave. How….special. Fine, if you wish to fight, then I shall be forced to show you how disgusting a man your father was.” As he says this, he rises his sleeves up and shows the seals on his arms. As he smears some of his blood on them, Shiko uses his White fire in one hand and mixes it with Raging Thunder and fires them both at the Kurikage as soon as can, instantly killing him.
He then takes the body of Kaguya from the castle and gives it a proper burial. At that moment he drops his previous last name and takes the name of Kaguya. He is know known as Shiko Kaguya.
Shiko leaves the village in search of a way to find forgiveness in life for his deeds. He travels the world before coming to rest in Izantui (predecessor to the Leaf Village). When he enters the village, he feels this strong power emanating from the center of the village. Feeling that this source will give him the knowledge he so strongly searches for, he heads towards the power. As he gets there, he finds a single man meditating with a necklace with six pieces hanging from it.
Feeling as if he knows whom this person, Shiko speaks and says: “Hello, Sage of Six Paths.” The person eyes snaps open immediately and he asks Shiko how did he know who he was. Shiko said that he searched the world and found none with a power such as his power besides the Sage’s. He told the Sage of the Kurikage and told him all he heard about him. The Sage merely laughed and said that was true, all of it except the teaching part. He replied that he only teaches those who could beat or defeat him in battle, which to that day was no one. Shiko said he sees what the Sage means, and said that the Sage would finally have someone to train, as he gets into the crane stance.
The Sage just looks at him and says why not, he has not had anyone to fight in a few months, so a good fight was needed and he hoped Shiko could provide it. The sage then looked directly into Shiko’s eyes with the Rinnegan and caused Shiko to freeze up completely while he seen the Sage within his mind.
“This is my most powerful technique, the Rinnegan. With its power, I am invincible. I can see what and when you are going to do something. I can see each of your chakra points and can inflict pain on you for what seems like days on end but are only a few seconds. Do you seriously think you can beat me?” the Sage spoke as he walked around a chained Shiko.
“No, but I can try to come close.” Shiko struggled to say while in chained up.
Hmm, Well then let's see what happens when the elite is challenged by the rookie." The Sage said as he released him. He shot a large lightning jutsu at Shiko. Shiko, after getting back up started to laugh and showed his chest to the sage.
To his surprise, he could see no damaege, even with his rinnegan. The Sage, recognizing a great fight in the making, replied with “No, but let’s test our limits now.”
In a battle that lasted for three days, Shiko was finally defeated by a fire that he could not put out, no matter how hard he tried. The Sage finally put the fire out as Shiko remarked how close he came to learning from the sage himself. The Sage said that he was the one who had more to learn, as he was nearly defeated, the first time that ever happened, and his powerful techniques were beaten, the first time THAT happened. He said that he would be glad to walk along side the path of greatness with Shiko to test each other’s limits and help one another along the way.
Shiko gladly accepted the offer and as his burns begin to regenerate, the Sage was fascinated by the power of it and asked Shiko if that was the only great power he had, besides his awesome fighting and thinking abilities, of course. Shiko said yes, but every once in a while, he thought he could feel a bone move out of place and move back on it’s own.
The Sage told him that he could use his Rinnegan to take over his body and awaken the power for him, which is if Shiko allowed him to do so. Shiko agreed to it and the Sage went into Shiko’s mind to awaken the power of the Shikotsumyaku, which Shiko would name it after it was awakened.
After about a month of unconsciousness, Shiko finally woke up to find several bones out of body, piercing his skin, though he felt no pain. The Sage said that it took him several days to bring the Kekkei Genkei to the surface, so to speak. Shiko started to move his arm and a bone shot from his elbow.
“It seems to be connected to your regenerating abilities and can re-grow back after you shoot them out or they break,” the Sage told Shiko, as Shiko was fascinated by the pure redness of his bones.
After marveling in the power of his bones for a few years and learning how to control them greatly, he challenged the Sage to a rematch. This time, the battle lasted for a week none stop, with Shiko winning this time, by the use of the Dance of the Young Ferns, which he developed on the spot. Instead of stabbing him, he put a bone sword up to the Sages neck, and said ‘Game Over’.
Congratulating him on his excellent job, the Sage told him that now was the time for them to spread out for a short time, in order to help establish the ninja world. The Sage went back to the Izantui, as the two main rivals’ of the Senju and Uchiha clans were starting to put aside their differences and it was on the verge of becoming a new village completely (which would eventually become the Leaf). Shiko went back to the Metsubou village.
As he arrived, he discovered the village had changed its name to the Mist village and revered Shiko as their first Mizukage. Shiko felt honored but said it should go to his teacher, Monk Kaguya. Shiko later found a few trust-worthy and extremely skilled students to pass on his techniques to. He used things he learned from the Sage of Six Paths to establish the ability to manipulate bones inside the other students. These students later took on the name of Kaguya and mated with each other to promote the growth of the Kekkei Genkei, starting the Kaguya Clan. Their descendents later turned inward, thinking of themselves in a rage that nearly destroyed the life of the clan if not for the emergence of Goro, Lei, Kimimaro, and Heihachi who begin to reestablish the clan as one of divine right and higher intellect but that’s a story for another time, not this bio xd.
He later left the village to in search of his greatest friend, but his whereabouts where never found again. Shiko then decided that this world was now ready for him to part from it so he begins to meditate somewhere secluded from the rest of the world, to isolate himself from the world.
Many years later, he decided to leave his self-induced seclusion and joined the Grass Village, under tutelage of one of his many descendents, Goro Kaguya. Shiko, from his many years of seclusion, lost the ability to make others manipulate their bones and the other techniques learned from the Sage of Six Paths, therefore the only way for the Kaguya clan to continue to thrive is for more members to come out of hiding or emerge themselves (seriously, we need a chick Kaguya because I’m thinking this is turning into a sausage-fest O__O). However, he still has the ability to use Raging Thunder and White Fire and can become a shape-shifter, by changing the set-up of his bones (i.e. he can make his bones the skeletal structure of an elephant, monkey, tiger, etc. and look as a tiger does, but physically, he will look like a human bending over.) He notices that he cannot remember any of his most deadly techniques but as he continued down that path of isolation, he loses more of himself so he reaches out to more and more people, spreading his ethereal knowledge through the world. He evens begins to spread his unique Elements throughout the world as well.
Shiko, Rei, Izuna, and Scary Yamato meet over a period of years in which Shiko teaches them all how to create Shiroi Katon, or White Fire as it is known, capable of burning anything, as it is second only to Amaterasu but it is, however, equal to Dark Fire, which, in turns of color and creation, is the exact opposite. Rei learns how to use it quicker then the two males due to her perfect chakra control that she so readily exhibits all the time. Izuna, the New Water Sage, surprised Shiko by being extremely adept even with the fire, but it was Scary Yamato that would spread the name of White Fire to all around the world and make it famous. He even had it placed in the Element Bureau to display its uniqueness around the world. As they each spread separate ways, the power of White Fire diminished a bit, with many forgetting of the power of it. Shiko, however, vows to make the element as great as it once was and created several more techniques with White Fire.
Shiko later meets –Naruto Uzumaki- and Riku.., whom he both teaches ways to further their excellent lightning chakra to develop it into Raijingu Sanda chakra, creating the deadly Raging Thunder element as it is known. After they learn how to harness the highly lethal power of the greatest element ever:|, they all begin to further practice their skills by developing more and more techniques of the element. The element begins to emerge as an overpowered element with few definite weaknesses and capable of destroying the world if used accordingly (I plan on making such a jutsu xd). –Naruto Uzumaki-, who possesses the Rinnegan, happens to be the re-incarnation of the Sage of Six Paths, which Shiko happens to notice deep within the body of Pein. As their friendship deepens, Shiko begins to notice Pein’s power growing unsteadily and quickly, at a rate faster than his own. He also notices that Riku.., with his Sharingan, carries the same destructive power of the Sage in his eyes. After seeing the Mangekeyou Sharingan in action, Shiko was forced to notice that the two of them were a deadly combo and with himself added to the mix, he notices that they form a lethal trio, capable of perhaps defeating Versuvio and his IP Ban Jutsu:| (nah, not seriously, though I would like to see the two of them try to take it on and see who comes back to tell the tale). xd

After seeing the Mangekeyou Sharingan in action, Shiko was forced to notice that the two of them were a deadly combo and with himself added to the mix, he notices that they form a lethal trio, capable of perhaps defeating Versuvio and his IP Ban Jutsu:| (nah, not seriously, though I would like to see the two of them try to take it on and see who comes back to tell the tale). xd
