Minato so far only outsmarted a 15 year old as far as I kno
Shikamaru does take longer to come up with strategy but like other guy said its one hell of a strategy
Minato rushes into things cuz he thinks he can speed blitz the world
But even against the 15 year old his formalting was brilliant yes but it cost him his life due to how he fights he fights with speed blitzing not his brain he only uses it when he realizes he needs something more then speed blitzing
Shika uses his brain at start of battle analyzing everything so he won't have mistakes witch is reason why he's still alive
Minato though was brilliant in his fight against 15 year old obito it cost him his life...shikamaru even though he takes longer his plan is always full proof
